hello ... i'm leaving in a couple of days and i have no idea on what to pack for my wdw trip .. i really need help .. should i bring jeans, shorts , hoodies and sweaters ? and how many do i bring each ? i'm really cutting it close right now .. help ... thanx for your time .. any info would be great .. bear in mind that i live in new york ...

We just returned from 10 days at WDW last night and I would suggest to bring something of everything! We had one day of 80 degrees and then yesterday and Friday we literally froze. I wore a lot of capris, my husband wore mostly jeans and even shorts a couple of days and the kids wore lightweight sweats and some shorts. We still swam, the pool at Saratoga Springs was like bathwater. At night we wore jackets and lightweight gloves. I wish we had brought scarves, especially for Fantasmic on Friday night. I would definitely suggest a jacket with a hood or bring a hat, when I put my hood on Friday, I felt much warmer. You might have some chilly days but I guarantee it will be warmer than New York! Have a great trip!

weather.com indicates that the weather in Orlando will be in the mid-70's, with nighttime temps in the mid-50's through Friday, with the weekend a little cooler. Doesn't sound like you'll freeze, especially if you're used to winters in the Northeast. I'm from Maine, and mid-50's feels pretty balmy to me!

DH and I are leaving on Saturday, arriving on Sunday morning and are also staying at POP! :) We are so excited. I have been watching accuweather.com and it looks like it will be pretty nice, but weather can change so quickly! We will pack a couple pair of pants, a few shorts, tee-shirts, a fleece jackets and I will pack little stretchy gloves for me since my hands are always cold. We are coming from Alaska, so we are used to the cold. However, the weather in Fl is so different from here...that moisture and a breeze feels so cold! When the evenings dip into the 40's, it feels really cold!!
We will be there for about 9 days! Have a blast, and lets cross our fingers for nice days!

dawn

Bring everything. We went the first week in December, and it was supposed to be beautiful. The weather was lower 70's most of the week, but we had one day of rain that kept the temp in the low 60's and another day which was just cloudy enough to remain there. You just never know.

thankyou everyone ... i'm just going to pack everything ... i didn't think disney in jan would be so compicated .. i just can't wait to be there already ...

LOL...I know exactly what you mean! So thankful you brought up this topic, we leave Friday morning at 6am for Pop.

I have also been keeping an eye on accuweather, and it's looking like the weather is going to be beautiful for the time we are there. I think it will even get up to 79 degrees one day!!

However, I, like you, am going to pack a little of everything. We will be there for 11 nights...so I think I need a UHaul for all the clothes I am taking. LOL

Have a wonderful time!!

We were there last week and for the most part the weather was quite warm ... in the 70's. I would skip the shorts and just wear long pants, but make sure to pack short-sleeves, long sleeves and jackets.

We've been every January since 2001 and we bring a little bit of everything. However looking at the forecast this time I am probably going to cut out a pair of pants and add a couple of pair of shorts. Even nightime lows in the 50's is balmy to us Mainers. Upper 70's is downright hot. Where also staying at Pop this time, see you there.

Hubby and I fly in on Sunday morning. We've packed jeans, sweatshirts, tshirts, shorts, bathing suits, gloves! Basically everything...as long as it can be layered. We're not planning on wearing our heavy coats to the airport, but our not so heavy suede ones with a couple of layers underneath.

I've heard a number of people who have reminded anyone going at this time of year to bring at least a thin pair of gloves - just in case! Although being from the Northeast, anything above 50 will be beautiful to us!

We're leaving Monday (ML King day) morning and haven't even STARTED packing yet!! The weather does look great for the time we'll be there, but we're still packing a little of everything, but I may cut out one pair of jeans and add a pair of capri's instead. Gloves, definitely! Cannot wait....

I found this website which shares a downloadable packing list, not necessarily for Disney, but for traveling light.

I found one specifially to WDW, but I can't find that one right now. Hope this helps guide you! We went in late jan/early feb last time and did need a light jacket/sweater, long and short pants, bathing suits-it got into the low 50s a few nights and was rainy and raw one day, but this was all we needed. But I am from way north and anything above 60 is the tropics to us!

Sounds like many of us are going to be at the Pop at the same time! I aslo packed a little of everything....just in case.

As for the weather, as long as it isn't snow I'm fine. Snowing here in Montreal so I can't wait to leave!

In 48 hours, we'll be checking in at the POP!
