Need advice on taking 2 and 5 year olds

I need advice on everything but especially how many days would you recommend at Disneyland for these ages? How do rides work with little ones? What do you do about going on rides yourself?

Hi, our kids were 5 and 2 when we went last April. I noticed in your post you said for Disneyland, we have never been there, but I can tell you what I have experienced at WDW. They really enjoyed the parades! We went on a couple rides: pooh, it's a small world, pirates of the caribbean, and a couple other ones. DS was scared more than our DD 2, but he made it ok. I personally didn't ride any "adult" rides when we were there.. but for me it was really about bringing the kids, and letting them experience the magic When we went to MGM DH had to ride RRC and TOT, so the kids and I just went site seeing. How many days did you stay? I want to get a lot accomplished but not wear them out!

Sorry!! We flew down, if you were curious. Stayed 4 whole days in the parks, 1st and last day were to early or late to go. I personally think anymore than that would have been to much. We did go back to the room during the day to take a hour or so nap. DH and I even took naps Let me know if you have any more questions. We are going back this April with the kids, I can't wait!! I think DH and I will take turns watching the kids this year so I can hop on a couple rides Oh one more note, if you can bring a video camera. I did quite a bit of taping while there, the kids LOVE to watch it! They even wave to the tv (during the Parade) and hollar at me MAMA MAMA Mickey Mouse! It is soo cute I almost cry!! jen
