Need Advice on Resort.

I will not be traveling to Disney again for 1 1/2 years but I am already starting my pre-planning. I would really like some opinions about the resorts. So far we have stayed at All Star Movies and Fort Wilderness Campground. DH and I have talked about staying at a moderate or deluxe resort next time. This is my question, I did not like Fort Wilderness as good as All Star Movies, one reason was that it just did not have the same Disney feel. At the ASM I felt like I was at Disney at the resort. I guess my question is do any of the moderate or deluxe resorts have a disney feel to them or is it just because ASM has all the Disney theming like Toy Story and 101 Dalmations. I guess one option would be to spend one or two nights at a nicer resort and then switch to ASM. I just wanted to get opinions. Also, which resort has the neatest pool that is what DD is intrested in. Going past the contemporary one day on the boat from Fort Wilderness she was amazed by the Water Slide and made her request that next time we stay in a resort with a nicer pool.

If you're going to stay in a deluxe resort, I would suggest Beach Club for the pool, location, and everything. We love the YC and BC..you can walk/boat to Epcot and MGM, boardwalk in the evening, and great pool area.

Take your time. Watch Great Hotels on the travel channel. They have episodes on the GF, BC, WL, and AKL. If you have Tive, have it watch for a show called "Disney's Great Escapes." That featured a bunch of hotels. So you can take a peek at a few and see what you like. Disney does it up right whereever you are, but if its big over the top icons that you want, you may very well be happiest at the All-stars.

You could also call Disney and ask them to send you a vacation planner which includes the video/dvd. OR you might check at your local travel agency and see if they have a current video to borrow.
