Need Advice on Plan and HS

Our Fast Pass+ day is Tuesday and I could use some advice on our plans/fast passes. I have planned our Disney trips before, but I'm struggling some with this trip due to the new additions at HS and with the large range of ages among the group that is going with us. The ages of our group range from 2-60+. Many of the people want to spend several days at MK. We currently have planned to go to MK 3 days (1 of those days being a partial day) and one day at each of the other parks. We plan to take a break each afternoon for a few hours before going for dinner and back to a park. We were planning to have a relaxing morning on Wednesday and stay by the pool then go to dinner and then go to MK in the evening. My biggest struggle is with HS. I'm concerned that only one day there is not enough to do everything we want. I see the advantage of going two days to HS and only going to MK twice. If we did that I would like to go on Wednesday afternoon, but our 4:30 dining reservation makes that difficult.. I've contemplated going to HS on Sunday instead of MK but that would give us Tuesday and a partial day Wednesday at MK. I would be fine with this plan but those going with us really want to spend a lot of time at MK and I'm trying to accommodate them. We have a lot planned on our MK days so I"m concerned we will spend a lot of time eating, waiting, doing events and our time with rides and attractions will be limited.

Does anyone know how the addition of fast pass has impacted the standby time for MFSR?

If we only had one HS day, I thought about a fast pass for SDD, rope drop MMRR, sign up for Jedi training after MMRR, and standby MFSR later in the day.

I have also though about going to HS Wednesday morning at opening until noon and then be done for the day. I want to make sure my parents and the two year old have plenty of opportunities to rest/relax.

My current plan is below. Any input would be greatly appreciated. I apologize for such a long post. Maybe I'm just overthinking all of this...

Sunday- MK-Skipper Canteen 3:00 and HEA Dessert Party 7:45
Monday-AK (EMH)-O'hana 4:30
Tuesday-MK-BOG 8:10, BBB 2:30, CRT 4:00
Wednesday- Rest in the AM, MK after dinner-Storybook Dining 4:30
Thursday-Epcot (EMH), Garden Grill 10:00
Friday-HS-Hollywood and Vine 5:30

I think a simple park hopper add on solves most of your problems... Gives everyone flexibility and those who want 3 days at MK can do that while others can hop over to DHS... Is it necessary for everyone to stay together the entire holiday? We often stay as many as 12 days and never do a rest day. Hoppers allow us to rest mid-day if needed. Your TS meals also offer a good 2-hour opportunity to "rest".

Standby times for MFSR have gotten longer in the morning but seem to be pretty short in the evening.

Your plan will work but it would not be ideal for us.

Your planned dinners are early considering that you are planning to take a break each afternoon "for a few hours". Maybe don't take the break and then just call it a night early sometimes?

Also, you might not be AK people, but we love that park. You will need to leave by 3:30 to make Ohana early dinner. If you want to rest before that dinner, you are probably looking at leaving AK by 12:30. That's only a half day.

Your Tues at MK sounds busy! Is there a rest in there too? I agree with the above poster that park hoppers would help. Some of your party could do two parks on Wed (HS in morning and MK later) while those who need it take the rest. You aren't there for very long so I'd make the most of it!

Thank you for your suggestions. I will mention hopper passes to our group. We will likely eliminate the rest day. Our dinner times are earlier than I’d like, but those were the best available times. Hopefully I’ll be able to adjust the times as we get closer to our trip.
