Where should we stay for one night?

Family of 5. 2 DD, 10, 3 and 1 DS, 8.
Folks are Vacation Club owners and have generously reserved a place for us to stay on Sun through Thursday in October at the BCV. Wife doesn't want to miss any weekend time so we are flying in Saturday morning with no place to sleep Saturday night yet.

I am thinking on property so we don't have to cab it to and from parks on Saturday or to MK Sunday morning. (Not planning on renting car since we wont need it after Saturday).

Should we get one of those family suites at All Star Music? Or should we just stay at the BC so we don't have to move luggage? Does anybody know whether staying on site I can get them to deliver my luggage from AllStar to BCV for me while we are at the parks Sunday? I am sure some of you have resort hopped before -- how was it?

Or should we just save the cash, stay at an inexpensive off-site (its only one night) and cab around Saturday and Sunday morning until we can drop off the luggage at BCV for Sunday afternoon checkin?

This is only our second trip so I am soooooo confused and uninformed about the pros and cons of these options. And if not Allstar, where would you stay for the one night on a moderate budget?

Please help us decide!

W/out a car, yeah I would probably want to stay onsite too. Would make transportation a lot easier. Not sure but I'd bet Disney will help you move your luggage if you're onsite as well. Maybe you could call them to make sure. AllStars Music is the one with the suites, I believe. If they are booked, you might also try Port Orleans Riverside- the Alligator Bayou section has rooms that sleep 5. Hope I helped some. I'm sure someone else will know more.....

What type of room are you staying in during your BCV stay? DVC members get a 25% discount off the cash price at the villas (you need to check availability of rooms designated for the cash discount through DVC member services). One thing you could do is have your folks book the room at the BCV with the discount. Then, Disney can link your ressie's, and you will not have to move rooms at all! :thumbsup2 That way, there is more time for the parks, less time to move, travel, etc...!

Yeah, I would recommend the family suites or any other All Star resort. You could easily go from there to the MK.

If you stay on site Disney will move your luggage at no cost. It might take many hours after you check out till you are able to get into your new room, so that might be a slight inconvience. Some of the moderate resorts have a pullout bed for a small child, that may be a less costly option than a family suite at the All Stars. The money you will save by staying off site would be eaten up by either the cab or rental car, nothing like getting on the bus for a quick ride to the room and a dip in the pool, or a nap. Good luck and have fun whatever you decided to do.
