Need advice on how/where to take afternoon break if we're not staying on property.

If we end up not getting park hoppers (and just do Epcot and AK in 2 days), I need some suggestions on what to do when AK closes. We are staying 40 mins away at a friend's apt. and don't want to go home to come back down. If we have done Kali, we will be wet and will want to clean up/dry off. Where's a good place to go and relax, clean up, grab some food etc.? We will have a car, and this will be October. I guess we'll be choosing from FW, DTD or a resort (if allowed). We might just head back up north - I was really thinking about what to do if we decided to take in Cirque or MNSSHP at MK later on and needed a place to chill between leaving AK (all wet and mussed up LOL) and arriving at our evening destination.

Any ideas?

I'd bring a change of clothes and stash them in a locker at the park. When you're ready to leave you can use one of the family bathrooms to change since they have more room. I'd suggest then going to one of the resorts for dinner and exploring. AKL, WL or any of the Epcot resorts would be good.

in? I wasn't sure how crowded they might be, or how cramped. There will be 4 adults, so I guess we might need 2 lockers to hold all our clothes (and maybe a travel hairdryer LOL)!

I assume if we have PS at Jiko we would be able to find a nice restroom at AKL to clean up in? What if we don't have PS - what if we just want to look around? Does anyone know if the restrooms there are nice enough to clean up properly in (like, if we decide to keep all our stuff in the car instead of lugging it into the park)?

The rest rooms at the AKL are very nice and clean. We were there in Mar. and had dinner at Boma's. Jiko's is very good as well. Boma's is so much fun and the food is great. You can make PS in the park during the day .It is a beautiful resort.

AKL would be a nice place to look around while waiting for your dinner ps's at Jiko or Boma....beautiful grounds
