Need advice; how would you plan this trip?

We have booked from 01-07 Sep a bounceback with FD. Normally we arrive a few days earlier for shopping etc... This year i am thinking of adding the Water Park option as I believe the cost is not much more than a single day pass.

I just read that all tickets must be used within 14 days.. So now I am thinking. We START our vacation with the package and then buy more park days than our package ( can we do this?). Adding a few days is only like a hundred more if I look at ticket only prices..

Can we then check out of our disney package resort and continue to use the rest of the tickets and stay either at a lower value or offsite?

Yes. You can add more days to your MYW tickets. Just remember that any tickets added must be the same as your previous tickets. In other words, if your tickets are Water Park & more hoppers, your added days must be as well.

Tickets are not linked to resort stays at all. You can move wherever you want and stay with your tickets.

thanks. I am beating myself up now as the past 2 years, we always stayed off site, but near Disney before the trip.. and for only 100$ more we could have had 3 days extra park days, if we had stayed offsite after the package.
