Ok....just started caring for her and I have been out of the toy loop for many years as my kids are grown....so I have been invited to her B'day party and have no idea what to get her. She is very active and defininitely a fun loving tom boy....no dolls at all, outside of a massive collection of Elmo's. So far I haven't noticed anything in particular that she enjoys doing for any length of time, so I truly am at a loss.... I would like to spend in the $25 range. She does enjoy going for long walks in her stroller, playing outside in the backyard and riding her scooter up and down a very long driveway....Any ideas or suggestions??? :goodvibes

Look for some Fisher price/Little tykes outside toys like plastic t-ball stand, plastic golf clubs, or those bouncy balls you sit on.

IMO, I'd stay away from buying her any of the newest, trendiest, "plastic" toys advertised to kids now. She will more than likely get enough of those from other people. I'd buy her something more long lasting, something more educational, or something that might be saved for a future generation.

How about a hardback treasury of children's bedtime stories book, a beautiful pop-up book (one that is read with adult supervision at her age), a couple of hardback Dr. Seuss books, a floor puzzle, a wooden alphabet puzzle, a cute animal shaped backpack, a beginners collection of rhythm musical instruments.

I have a 3yo grandbaby and for her 3rd I bought her a pink soccer ball, pink baseball glove and a pink football. She plays for hours in her yard.

We made a soccer net and got her a pitchback for baseball, she has a blast.

Oh she is a tomboy in a dress :thumbsup2 So we also got her a coule Barbies but they were WNBA Barbie.

Even if she is a tomboy most little girls still love princess things too.

Maybe a GC to Disney Store or Toys R Us - she can have her own adventure shopping.

DD3 loves bubbles and sidewalk chalk. She also loves the t-ball stand, balls, and bat she has. It's plastic so it would definitely be in your price range.

How about a tea set her and elmo and elmo and elmo and elmo can have tea and lunch together.

I was going to suggest a Plasma Car, but they're about $50. Somehow my parents got my son one last year for around $30 - I guess they must have got a really good deal.

Playmobil is fun and at age three, unless she puts things in her mouth still, the "big kids" version would be great. They have all different themes.

I've bought my 3 year old neice/nephews their own dish set, comes with plate, bowl and cup. You could add in their own bath towel set. My kids always enjoyed having their own set of dishes and towels.

just wanted to thank all of you for your replies....so many great ideas that I would have never thought of!! Printed out everything and I'm off to Toys R
Us for a fun shopping trip!!:goodvibes
