We plan to vacation in Disney World with our 2 five year old grandkids, 1 girl and 1 boy. After reading reviews about CRT and BOG, I'm wondering if that level of character interaction will impress them. Would I be better off to focus on the princess entertainment/attractions in the parks? All suggestions appreciated!

BOG is not worth it at all, IMO. No characters anyway. We loved CRT pre-pandemic, but I wouldn't spend that money for the way it is now.
I would say the kids would probably enjoy the parades and individual meet and greets just as much as a sit-down meal.

I will say the experience at Artist Point was the best we have had so far. I did hear good things about Tusker House, but I have never been.

Did this change recently? We went last year and Cinderella met with guests at CRT, and the Beast me with us at BOG. We enjoyed both very much.

Thanks so much!

My 5 year old loved CRT and to be honest, we only booked it this time because it's substantially cheaper than in the before time.

But really, the BEST character interactions I've ever had were at Garden Grill in Epcot.

If I'm understanding correctly, Cinderella is downstairs in the castle. You get to walk by her before you go upstairs, but no autographs and only pictures from a distance. It sounds like the Beast walks out every half hour and bows but no close contact. If the princesses were at the meal, my grandkids would love it for sure!

Thank you!

You can now take pictures with Cinderella before dining. She was signing autographs as well.

We did Cinderella's on Friday. We hadn't been before but my kids loved it. We thought the food was good. We got autographs and pictures with Cinderella before the meal. My kids got a wand or sword to take home. My kids are 12, 9, 7 and 4. We also did Artist Point. The character interaction there is much better because there are more characters and most come around. The Evil Queen was great! I loved interacting with her. The food at both was delicious and plentiful. However my picky eaters found more foods they liked at Cinderella's. I made both reservations ahead of time at 60+4 and 60+5. I could only get 4:15 for Cinderella's but we didn't get out main courses until 5:30.

One of the ladies at Plan Disney told me he is currently there at all meals but I'm sure that is constantly subject to change - especially if quick service lunch returns there!
I had lunch there on April 29th, he walks through.

That is a huge help in so many ways! Thanks for taking the time to reply!

I'll add that the Topolinos character breakfast was fantastic (food wise) and our 4 YO was so excited to meet the Fab 5. Going off what others have said and not having done CRT or Artists Point post-COVID, I'd say the character interaction was closer to Artists Point. I understand it's a difficult reservation to get but would highly recommend if you can snag one!
