Hi susy,

I think the touring plans in Steven Barrett's "Hassle-Free Walt Disney World Vacation" book might be helpful. Dr. Barrett has clearly put a lot of deep thought into those plans, and he's got some good all-purpose touring advice, too. I dig the guy's work.

While they're probably not going to minimize your waits in line, that's neither their emphasis nor your goal. You may be able to view sample pages online at Amazon.com, I think, to get an idea of his approach.

Sincerely,

Len

Thanks Len!!!! That title sounds familiar. I'm thinking about writing my own touirng plans!!

I thought your original plan of going back to the hotel for a mid-day swim WAS non-commando, so I was puzzled by your quetion. But then again, I'm a commando through and through.

I was tickled by an earlier posters claim that EE were "tense" and "competitive." I prefer to call it excited and energized!! The only stress I feel is when I'm not maximizing my time and squeezing in as much as possible. I like the challenge of trying to see and do it all. I find WDW exillerating, not exhuasting.

Of all the suggestions I've read, I like the idea of scheduling shows and whatever attractions you can comfortably squeeze in between. That should give you mom ample time to rest. I'd try and do some sit-down meals, too. You can decide that the day of. Just call the dining number from your cell phone or stop by the podium to get a time and plan accordingly.

Enjoy!

someone out there is finally like me!! :cool2:

Most of the other posters have already provided some good information. The best is to realize that you can't do it all, and you WILL come back. Pick out a few things that you just must do, then just do what you want to do.

My two suggestions would be: -See lots of the shows. This will be a good opportunity for your Mom to sit down and rest. And, most of them are so well produced. I'd schedule everything else around showtimes and then catch the low-line attractions in the vacinity. - Go to a themed restaurant and enjoy a good meal (Prime-time, San Angel Inn, etc.) . Again, gives you time to rest and regroup, plus you still are surrounded by the magic.

Have fun! I'll be at the POFQ in Dec. Can't wait!!!

Good ideas!
