We will be driving down and back from our cruise. We plan on taking our time getting home and are hoping to stop at some fun/interesting places along 95 North from the port up to Jacksonville and on to Montgomery, AL for the trip home--even something that takes a whole day to enjoy. Can you Florida residents please recommend something to me?? Please don't recommend anything in Orlando, just recently did lots of stuff there.

I would definitely goto St. Augustine, it is a beautiful city with lots of history, a nice beach and great outlet malls! There is quite a bit to do there.

If you are NASCAR fans a stop in Daytona to check out the Speedway is popular.

Enjoy you trip!

Oops! Forgot to include that we will have my DD15 and DD10 with us, so we need something to do that the kids will enjoy too!

St. Augustine is nice, might interest the kids... and Kennedy Space Center...

Amelia Island is nice too, but not sure how the kids will like it, other then the beach.

thats about it......what could be better than sightseeing and shopping? I guess eating, and they have that in St Augustine as well.....If you are looking for more excitement, maybe take a detour to WDW or Universal....

just take 528 west ...

I would vote for St. Augustine too. Kids seem to like it too. I know mine do. You can go to the Alligator Farm, Lighthouse, the fort. My kids always like the ghost tours too. If you are looking for amusement park type fun you might want to stop in Valdosta, GA as you head west. Wild Adventures is a lot of fun and very reasonably priced.
