I am planning to take our church's youth to WDW in February. Do they give group discounts. Is it better to stay offsite? We wil have approx. 25 kids and 12 adults. Any advice would be appreciated!!Thanks!

Suzanne

Call CRO and tell them your situation. I believe there is a group rate, and I know there's a group sales department, but I have no idea what the phone number is.

I believe there's a group discount, but NO idea what the discount is. Sorry can't be of more help.

If you stay off site or get a room only rate, make sure to buy your tickets in advance because the prices are higher at the gates. You might want to get a quote from Central Florida Tickets and Travel (website is www.centralfloridatravel.com but call them about a group order like that because they might offer you a better deal as a package - they also sometimes have three day disney hopper passes available (but you have to ask about them). 407 932-2080. The cheapest resorts onsite will be your value resorts (no frill, small rooms but clean with bus transportation to all Disney parks, food court and pool - without a discount these start at 77$ per night plus tax in value season - mid to late Feb. will be higher I think as this is regular season...I think. Value season is Jan. and first week or so of Feb. )

We brought a youth group twice, for Night of Joy. Our group was smaller than yours. One yr we stayed at the Wilderness homes. They sleep 6,,1 bedroom has a double bed and bunkbeds,,and theres a Murphy bed in the LR. They have a full kitchen. We just stayed overnight. You may want to ask about their policy on having teens stay in rooms without adults,,if thats ok,or not. (i don't know if they care or not.) They sometimes have deals during value season, where the homes are like $154. The values are $54. But you'd need fewer homes,so i don't know what would be cheaper. Just remind your group that if they phone home from the phone in the room,,its very expensive!!! We had one kid who thought it was free, and called and talked to his mom for a loooong time. His bill was like,,$20.(and the call was only1.5 hours away,,not across country or anything.) Have fun planning!
