Need advice for renting points

We are planning on taking our daughter to WDW for her 5th birthday which is (Date Removed), 2013.

We want to rent DVC points for (Resort and Room Type). The dates we are thinking would be (Date Removed), 2013. I know that these book up fast and from what I understand, DVC members have an 11 month window where they can start booking these rooms?

So my question is, what would be the best way to go about getting one of those rooms for those dates? I'm thinking we would have to make a deal with a DVC member before the 11 month mark so that they can book at the opening of that window?

Yes, right now would be a good time to read up on the rules on the rent board and then you could look through the posts to find someone who is renting points for your preferred resort. If you reach an agreement prior to the 11 month mark, the person from whom you are renting will have a better chance of being able to reserve it for you.

Before we became DVC owners we rented, and I started looking 13 months before our trip...we needed a grand Villa and it was during spring break. I had it all lined up before the 11 month window opened up. Good luck!
