We vacation at WDW every year and know much about the place. We decided that we would add one night at Universal this year - mostly to check out Harry Potter but also to see the rest of IOA. It will be me, DH, DS8, and DD7 (both are 50 to 52"). DH wants thrill rides and the kids will do almost anything if they are tall enough. My must do is Harry Potter portion and none of us like any 'kiddie' stuff (we don't really enjoy the majority of Fantasyland rides at WDW :scared1:).

Here's the crux though, we will arrive Friday May 27th and check in to Portofino Bay for the evening, then touring IOA on Saturday leaving when we are done and going to Disney that night. So that's Memorial Weekend and a Saturday! I'm staying onsite so we can get the FOTL pass or whatever that is. We also will take advantage of the extra hour in the parks for Harry Potter.

So, what are 'must do' rides for all of us - and for DH to go on thrill rides (kids would go to if they are tall enough - and I'll go, always nice to lose lunch :rotfl:)? Any recommendations for how to tour that day? I had planned to check out before we left for the park and then be at the park through maybe 3 or 4 and leave for Disney. We could go back to the hotel for a break, but would need to check out anyway so not sure if that is wise.

Thanks for any help you can give!!!

I think you should do everything you can since you will have unlimited Express that day. WWoHP will be very busy so you are wise to take advantage of the early entry. You won't have too much to worry about on the majority of attractions so just take your time and enjoy yourselves.

Thanks! Good to know I learned a few things from reading these threads :thumbsup2
