Need advice for May

We've been to Disney twice and Univeral once already. This time we're combining both on our vacation. We'll have two Universal days and four Disney days. We're arriving May 25, not planning on a park that day since we have a long drive from Oklahoma. My question is which days would be better for Universal--Sunday and Monday, May 26th and 27th, or Thursday and Friday, May 30 and 31st? I just realized that Monday is Memorial Day, so I don't know if that will make a difference with crowds or not. We'll be staying offsite but getting a room at Universal for the Express Pass; there will be five of us. Also how early should we get there to check into the hotel that morning? We want to do early entry for Harry Potter.

if you booked an onsite hotel room at the darkside, you can check in early.
try for 7:00 if the park opens at 9 that day.

early entry is at 8:00 am.



check in, get your room keys, have the express pass card made and head over to IOA.
every one in your party will receive a room key which you need to have the express pass made at the lobby kiosk machine.


aim for being in that line around 7:45.


if it were me, i would aim for sunday/monday set up for the darkside.

fridays do bring in school groups for the parks in May.

Well any holiday weekend is going to be busier than normal but I don't think Memorial Day is going to be unbearable by any means. Just get there early so you have the entire day to spend.
