Need advice for family trip in December

We are following DH for a work conference the first week of December and then staying at HOJO the following Sat-Tuesday. Based on the other thread it looks like I can only buy a five day park hopper but while DH is busy during the week I'm planning on taking the kids to the parks too. Should I just buy a one park ticket per day that I take them? What's the best way to save money if I might be going for around 7 days?

Any advice on parking? Should I plan to go to a certain garage?

I'm planning on using a lot of my weekday time to take the kids to parades and shows (is there still going to be Doc McStuffins around?) that we might not stop for when we have less time with DH. Anything else we should try to do on a weekday when it's less crowded?

Any other advice? Thanks so much!

First, if you're at HoJo, you wont' need to park in a garage. You're very close to the main entrance.

As far as being there 7 day, the only option if you want to go all 7 is to get an Annual Pass or get a 5 day and a 2 day. If you're there on a break, there's other things to check out in LA. Head to the beach, visit the tarpits or a museum, or head over to Knott's Berry Farm or Universal. 5 day tickets will get you the time you need/want at the parks.

Sorry I wasn't clear, DH has a conference in Newport M-F and then we will all move to HOJO so I'm planning to take the kids to DL for a couple of those days. Which would mean driving back and forth. When we went last year it was very rushed to get everything in and I love Christmas so I'm looking forward to taking it all in at a slow pace since my DC are little. We added DL on last year to DHs business trip and I took DS to the Tarpits and the museums but since DD is older now I don't think she'd have the patience for that!

A 2 day parkhopper for an adult is $217 and a child +3 years $204.
A 5 day parkhopper is $305for adults and $289 for a child +3 years..
The deluxe annual pass is $519 plus tax for all persons over 3. The adult would save $3 with the AP and the child would save using the parkhopper by $26.
Plus there are discounts you treceive with the AP. This pass doe not include parking. That would be $18.00 per day. $159 to add to AP.
This might help you determine what to do. But avoid buying single day tickets.
