We are going to Sea World in the morning and I'd like any and all advice you can give me. It's a birthday present to my 10 yr old daughter and she is soooo excited. She wants to do the Shamu breakfast and Polar exhibit so she can pet a penguin. I think she would be thrilled if all she could do is spend a few minutes with a penguin. Any advice on where to eat or when to visit certain exhibits or just tips on the best wya to get around would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Patti

I live in Orlando and have been to Sea World many times. I think your daughter will love it.

One good place to eat is by Clydesdale horses-good sandwiches. The BBQ place is also good.

The pet show with cats and dogs is very cute.

You can feed the sea lions and dolphins.

I read on this board that the show schedule is now on line.

Have a great time!

How do you pet a penguin!? That'd be cool....

A couple things you want to do:
Feed the dolphins @ Dolphin Cove - it's a really cool experience. Make sure to pet them under the chin. There are feeding times throughout the day. Get in line a couple minutes before the stalls officially start selling food.

Underwater viewing of Dolphin Cove - Do not miss this! It's so cool to see the dolphins swimming around in the water, right next to the glass! The whole thing is really relaxing - right down to the music played!

Clyde and Seamore Take Pirate Island - Such a great show! A lot of humor, and a lot of funny tricks. Trust me, this show is not to be missed.

Some sort of Shamu show - no trip to seaworld is complete without seeing Shamu. So definitely get into one of the shows. I'm not sure if they still have the night show Shamu Rocks America, but if they do, I would go to that one because it's so cool! It has way more jumps and tricks than the day show, and all to great music!

Wild Arctic - The simulator ride is cool, I always enjoy going on it. And then afterwards, say hi to belugas, walruses, and polar bears! From above and below the waterline!

Journey to Atlantis - Great ride, I love it. Get on it for sure.

Kraken - Your 10 yr old might be too short for this, but if not, ride it! It's one of the best coasters I've been on. The line is never too long. For the best ride experience, ride in the back, trust me, you'll love it!

Penguin Encounter and Pacific Point Preserve - both cool. See Penguins and puffins on an indoor walk through, or see Seals and Sea lions at pacific point preserve. Not on the top of my list, but still cool.

There's also some really good pizza at this place in the waterfront. It's between sealion and otter stadium and the rest of the waterfront.

Hope that helps,

We did the Polar Expedition tour and at the end they allow you to briefly pet a penguin. It cost us $60.00 for the four of us.

Thanks for the info. I'd have to agree with all your suggestions with one exception, Kraken. Not a coaster person by any means. :scared1:

Thanks

Clyde and Seymour also have a new show around 7:00. It's hilareous - the basically make fun of all the other shows. Be sure to see Blue Horizons - the shw was amazing!

We were just at Seaworld last week and did the Polar behind the scenes tour, my son also loves penguins and that moment was one of his favorite parts of the whole trip. We also did the Saving a Species tour (we did SeaWorld for 2 days). I highly recommend that one as well.

We always do the dolphin feeding first. It is usually near the park opening time. Get someone in line for food and grab a spot by the pool. My kids are 12 and 14 and they still love it. We never miss this or feeding the sea lions.

I second not missing the last Clyde and Seemore show of the day. It was our favorite show from two weeks in all the parks. Don't miss it!
