Need advice - borrowing points question

I am currently trying to plan our first trip 'home' for next April. My plan is to make a reservation at our home resort, SSR, at the 11-month mark. We need a 2-bedroom as there will be 7 of us and, in order to get this for 12 nights, I will need to use all my banked points from 06 UY, all of 07 UY and borrow some from 08 UY. That I understand.

However, this is where I am getting confused. We would like to spend a few nights at BWV as me and DH really loved it there in February. A 2-bed standard at BWV is less points than the 2 bed at SSR. If I manage to secure the BWV 2-bed at the 7-month mark, will I be able to return the points I've already borrowed to the 08 UY? And, if not, can I then bank some 07 UY points meaning I will still borrow the same number of 08 UY points but the excess can be taken from my 07 allocation and banked forward

Once you borrow the '08 points you cannot bank them or put them back. However, you could do as you said and bank some of the '07 points (assuming you will still be within your banking windows when you change your ressie).
