Need a TS recommendaton stat hehe..

We are arriving next Wednesday and long story short our plans feel apart yesterday so we ended up changing resorts and as a result got the regular dining plan instead of quick service. Needless to say I have been clamoring to get ADRs since I had things already set as far as CS was concerned. Anyway I only have one left which is the night we arrive so it needs to be at one of the resorts. It needs to be 1TS credit and appealing to my mother (60) all the way down to my DD (5). Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! I have been pouring over menus all day but I like first hand experience if I can get it. Thanks!

My votes would be Whispering Canyon Cafe @ Wilderness Lodge or Cape May Cafe (Buffet) at Beach Club or 1900 Park Fare 1ts character buffet @ Grand Floridian.

Pot roast @ WCC is

My husband loves the seafood buffet at Cape May. But there are other things on the buffet other than seafood.

And the buffet and character interaction at the Grand Floridian are usually very good. The characters are for adults as well as the children. We especially enjoy the wicked step sisters! They're a hoot!

My staple is always Ohana at the Poly. There's some entertainment (a ukelele player that teaches the hula to anyone willing to learn and has games for the kiddos), great food, and a wonderful view of the castle! And the family style meal is wonderful! I love the steak and the noodles. If you eat late enough, they pipe in the Wishes music. If you're willing to spend a little more, I also love the Hoop Dee Doo Revue. I think everyone in your family would love it. Again, the food is great but more than anything, show is hilarious and outstanding. These are the 2 places that I'm taking my Disney newbies in April!!!

I agree with the PP, WCC is also wonderful. One thing I liked there was that you could do the family style option or you could order off a menu. The CM's are also a hoot! I'd definitely recommend the all-you-can-drink milk shakes! :

Ohanas is one of our favorites. Good food and also some entertainment. Kids have fun with the activities.
Whisper Canyon Cafe is also good and fun.
Will you guys have a car and what resort are you staying at. If you are depending on bus transportation it can be a hassle to get to resorts as you have to go to nearest park and transfer.

We will have a car and we will be at POR. I have never stayed there before and since this was a last minute switch I don't really have my bearings since last time we were at POP and were booked there again up until last night.

with a car you should be able to get to either of the restuarants I recommended both wilderness lodge and the polynesian are close to magic kingdom

I would recommend Cape May. Its very good but still kind of a "secret" so you should be able to get a last minute ADR.

Ohana is just too hard to get a ressie -even 180 days out

Whispering canyon cafe.

We ate there with dd6 and ds 8. They loved it! It was a lot of fun and the food was delicious.

There is pony stick races and bottomless milkshakes too

Since you're staying at POR, I'd take the boat to DTD. We don't use DDP, so I'm not sure which restaurants are on it. I'm pretty sure Wolfgang Puck Cafe (Table Service), Raglan Road (TS), Wolfgang Puck Express (Counter service), & Earl of Sandwich (CS) are. I'd choose one of the WP's. DTD is a fun way to get a first dose of Disney w/o paying park admission.

I think the DTD idea is great since you'll be staying at POR (which is beautiful by the way). My vote is for Raglan Road which is my favorite restaurant in DTD and one of my top 3 favorites on property. I think it has a great atmosphere and fabulous service with AWESOME food. Also, I know that throughout the week (except Sunday) they have irish step dancing which might be interesting to you as well.
