We always leave a tip for housekeeping when we stay at any hotel. In the past when visiting Disney there have been occasions when they did not take the tip. I have wondered if it was not obvious enough that this was meant for them to have as a tip for their services.

So how do I leave a tip to ensure the housekeeper gets it? Also do they share tips among the staff or does it go to just the person who cleaned the room that day? This will make a difference in how I tip. If it is kept by the person responsible for the cleaning that day I will tip everyday like I normally do. If it is shared among the whole cleaning staff then I might just leave a large tip at the end of the stay. Any ppl on here work at Disney and have any suggestions for me or information that can help me with this??

Tip daily as the person that cleaned your room all week might not be working the day you leave.

Now that that's out of the way Mousekeepers are not allow to touch or remove money left in the open without a note attached that it's for them.Disney also doen't leave the force to tip envelopes.

So what many of us do it make Mousekeeping envies' some on the boards have really cute ones made up for downloading and printing. But this is the best way to make sure they get the tip for their work.

At PP in DL I left them a microwave I left with the reciept and a note to mangement if there was any concerns with my phone number on it I never heard back so I guess they liked their gift as well as the daily money we left them .

We leave a tip every day. We leave it under the card that says the name of the Mousekeeper and, if necessary, write on the hotel-provided notepad. It usually isn't the same person day after day, but I've found that I get better service if I tip daily. Word must spread. That isn't the only reason I do it, obviously, but I also like to know that the person who cleans my room gets the tip.

can anyone share the images for the envies or links to them for printing? I have the link to one...i think themouseforless.com but it has their logo all over it. anyone have any others? maybe not as fancy?

How much is appropriate for 3 people per day?

We do $1 per person and if they leave towel animals and extras if we need and request we bump to $5 per day.

The link for printable envelopes is www.themouseforless.com or you can just make your own. DS and I went to the Dollar Store and bought a box of plain envelopes and some Disney theme stickers. We decorated the envelopes with the stickers and markers and labeled them "For Mousekeeping - Thank You!" We leave an envelope propped up on the bathroom sink each morning before we leave for the parks. We tip $3 each day. (We have 3 people in our room and we try to keep it relatively neat.)

I decorated envelopes before we left home and put a message on the front thanking Mousekeeping so they would know it was for them. We left $1.00 per person as well. I put the envelope by the bathroom sink each morning before we left. Our room at All-Star Sports was always sparkling when we arrived back after mousekeeping had been in there and I loved finding the towel/washcloth animals. (I guess you can figure out that our son chose the place to stay on our last trip - Sports Resort!).

Thank you everyone for the tips. I leave Tuesday afternoon so I will have to try to get those envelopes printed tonight or in the morning. I have so much to do I may end up just leaving a note.
