for our September trip. Have three 7 year olds, 2 of which are picky eaters. It'll be for dinner after visiting the AK park. We already have ADRs for Chef Mickey and 'Ohana.

Thanks!

How about either the Rainforest Cafe at the AK or a character buffet. Seems like picky eaters can always find something they want if they get to choose at a buffet.

You could go to Cape May (Beach Club) and then if everyone isn't too tired/crabby afterwards, take a short walk over to the Boardwalk area to finish the evening.

Rainforest Cafe would be a good option. Lots of choices and a fun environment. If you want to stick with the AK area you could also try Boma. The kids buffet has your typical chicken fingers, mac and cheese stuff but the adults can be more adventurous.

Another option might be a character meal such as Chef Mickeys or 1900 Park Fare.

From AK Boma at the AK Lodge would be an easy trip. Take the bus back to MK and walk back to the resort or take the monorail "home".

You could also just go "home" to the Contemporary and do Chef Mickey's.

Hi Triplefigs!

For kid friendly, you can try 'Ohana at the Poly. It is served family style, so no walking with three kids to get food like you'd have to do at a buffet. If you're kids don't like the food, they will bring more typical kid type food from Kona. They have special activities for the kids during dinner.

For a buffet meal, I like Boma. There's lots of unique food to try, but your kids would find plenty to eat too. It is big and fairly noisy though.

For a more casual table service, you might try something on the Boardwalk.

Lisa

Thanks, all. I guess I should have mentioned that we are already dining at Chef Mickeys and 'Ohana. Keep the suggestions coming, please!

How about WCC at WL. You can take the boat over from the CR. It is very kid friendly and it's fun to explore the resort. Personally, it's alittle loud for me but DD liked it.

I also love Narcossee's at the GF. It's alittle on the quiet side but it has a great atmosphere. I am not sure what the kids menu had but I think it included pasta, chix fingers, burger and mac & cheese. My seven year old DD loves it and you can watch MK fireworks from the porch or dock.

One about the Trails End buffet at Fort Wilderness? I've never eaten there, but I've heard good reviews about it and it also seems very affordable.

With the monorail situation, I also suggest 1900 PF, good buffet with characters your kids will like.

I vote for WCC! It's a fun atmosphere and everyone in the family can have a good time! It gets loud in there but that's part of the fun! We have to eat there every trip! We stay at the VWL and the place is beautiful! After you've hit the park, go back to the CR and take a swim and cool down. Then head over to WL a little earlier and explore the place before the ADR! Be sure to try and get there and see the gyser go off! The kids will love that!

I see you're at CR, how about Grand Floridian Cafe? My nephews really liked it there and there is something for everyone for a reasonable price in a nice but not fancy atmosphere. That's assuming it's open again. They're using it for the character meals while they renovate park faire.

Food wise I would vote for Cape May Cafe.

Location wise I would choose Whispering Canyon Cafe.

Great suggestion, but this meal won't exist when you're there. The restaurant is being renovated and a plated meal is being served at the GF Cafe instead. We loved the buffet character meal at 1900. I'm not excited nor do I think your picky eaters would be.

I still say Boma, easy trip from AK to AKL.

Cape May Buffet is a must for our family. Very kid friendly - a special buffet with favorites like chicken fingers, mac & cheese, and pizza. Yummy desserts.
Great cast members. After dinner, either walk into EPCOT or enjoy the BW activities on the other side of Crescent Lake.

We ate 1900 PF in Dec 05, and we loved it. But I agree about the pre-plated meals. Both of my DS's are chicken fingers, mac n cheese, hot dog, hamburger kids. Now my DD will eat ANYTHING and is very adventurous.
