Need a suggestion for a large party

Last minute...DH wants to meet up with some coworkers. It's on our DHS day, but none of them will have park tickets, so it has to be outside of the park. We're looking for a dinner. I don't want to drive way out of the way if I can help it. Any ideas? Group will be about 14 people! TIA!

What about one of the resorts? Where are y'all staying? Many of the best restaurants at Disney are in the resorts. Also depends on how soon you'll be traveling and availability of course.

We have a split stay and it's the same day that we're going from POR to AS-Sports. So in addition to dinner, I have to get over to the new resort and check in at some point. A resort definitely seems like the way to go, but I'm not very familiar with the resorts in that area. We haven't stayed at the Epcot area resorts. Any thoughts on which one to check into? This is next week!

I don't have a lot of experience with the EPCOT area either yet...we have a Beach Club trip in Sep-Oct, so I've been doing a good bit of research. I hear good things about dinner at Cape May Cafe @ BC. It's popular for the crab legs and other seafood selections. Many of the restaurants at BC/YC, Swan, Dolphin are Fine/Signature Dining and I'm not sure what you're looking for food type or budget wise. We are checking out Yachtsman Steakhouse on our trip...many good reviews here on the Dis. There's also Trattoria al Forno on the Boardwalk. I've read mixed reviews on it...but I've read mixed reviews on pretty much everything in my WDW research! Are you guys using Disney transportation? You always have the option of Disney Springs....so many options there. I know there are a lot of horror stories about getting over there and the parking, but we loved it on both of our last two trips. We had a rental car sometimes that we valet parked, but we used the bus once as well. I think if you allow for enough time and have a good plan, it works well.

WCC is a great place - plus we love the Wilderness Lodge. We have eaten there with big parties plus it is so much fun.
Also Captains Grille at the YC. Great food.
We love Boma and Sanaa at the AKL. Boma is great for a big party.

If he wants something nicer Yachtsman is great at the Yacht Club and there are some places at Boardwalk. You can also check out the restaurant at Swan and Dolphin.

Ohana is great for large parties, and it may be easy to book Captain's Grille. The Boardwalk has fairly large restaurants as well!

We did a large group at Wolfgang Pucks. And it was fairly last minute when we booked. I think we booked for 12 people maybe less than a week before.

We also did a large group of 10 at WCC for dinner and an even larger group for a late breakfast. The dinner was fairly close to the date, the breakfast was booked by someone else and I wasn't involved with that.

We ate at Captain's Grille last week and were pleasantly surprised with really good food and wonderful service. You could take the boat over from HS and relax a little during the ride before dinner. Walk up the boat dock and into the lobby of YC and the restaurant is right there.
