The bag I normally carry in the parks is this one:

You can see what all it holds here:
What's In My Camera Bag

For our upcoming trips I want to go more streamlined. Our next trip, for example, is for the Food and Wine Festival. I figure I'll add 5-10 lbs of food each day so I want to off load some camera gear! :goodvibes:goodvibes

I plan to carry my camera on an RStrap the whole day. I want to take with me just a 50mm, 14-24mm and a flash. For firework days, I'll check the tripod in a locker.

Any suggestions on a bag? I'd like for it to be a backpack and not a shoulder bag since I'll already have the RStrap.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Check out the 5 million dollar home from Crumpler. Its a good bag and sounds like the size you need.

Yes, the Crumpler is a shoulder/ messenger type bag (Sorry, didn't catch the last part of your post.) If you are looking for a backpack style, I would recommend the Lowepro Slingshot. It's a sling type, but functions like a backpack.

Thanks I'll take a look.

Check out Think Tank's products. Love their stuff. I have the Change Up (however, it is a should bag or a waist pack or waistpack with cross-body shoulder strap, OR you can take both shoulder straps and criss-cross them behind your back). Should fit what you listed easily. They also have some backpacks (Shape Shifter).

That's an interesting bag!

Have you carried that in the parks before?

I bought the Change Up for an upcoming trip to WDW. After trying out several bags through the years, I thought, why not one more! I used it in the parks back in April (spring break) and it worked out great. I wore my camera, and in the bag I carried a 50 mm lens, spare battery, cell phone, wallet, light jacket for rain, water bottle and still had a little room. One day I also carried my 100-400 mm lens (@ Hollywood Studios for Fantasmic). It was a bit heavy, but thanks to the waist pack and shouder strap, it wasn't bad at all. The narrow profile (compared to some of my other bags) made it easy to move around in the crowds. I could wear it in front, in back (makes me worry about pickpockets), or on my side.

Shoot Paul-jif you want to see it in person, let me know. I'm just on the other side of the dam in Ballentine! Forgot you were over there!

I would love to! After seeing your work, I'd love to work alongside you and learn. I do some sports stuff now for TSS.

Franchise out of Atlanta -TSS Photography. They do sports teams (we're shooting Irmo Chapin Rec tomorrow), proms, dance groups, etc.
