Okay, so we get off the ship on 12/13 and hope to be checked in and free to hit the parks by Noon. We have dinner reservations at Akershus at 7 p.m., but don't know what parks to hit in the afternoon because it's a Saturday. We were thinking of going to Magic Kingdom just to see the parade, or maybe a couple of hours at Animal Kingdom. :confused3

Anyone with experience on this would be helpful. Is there a crowd calendar thread on here? Thanks.

Why not hit Epcot since you have to be there anyway.

MK does not have a Christmas Party that day so it will be crowded and Epcot has P.M. extra magic hours on Friday so it should be nice in regards to crowd size.

Animal Kingdom closes at 5 so if you wanted to hit it from like 1-5, that wouldn't be bad but from 11-like 3pm will be the "busiest" it will get that day.

We are spending all day that Tuesday at Epcot because they have early opening. We threw in a dinner there because on Tuesday we are eating at Biergarten. I was thinking of maybe lunch at Downtown Disney (boat from OKW) at Wolfgang's Express and then head to a park by 1 p.m. Our dinner in Norway isn't until 7 p.m. Thanks for the tips.

I agree with the Epcot suggestion. Animal Kingdom would be a great park too visit too.

I checked easywdw and apparently he agrees too :thumbsup2

Our situation is a little different, in that we're flying into Orlando late on the 12th and staying at the Hyatt at MCO that night, and we'll make our way to Disney the morning of the 13th after we've had a chance to sleep in.

We're staying at BLT, so my tentative plan is to go to MK early afternoon but really only expect to hit the 3 attractions for which we can get FP+, and otherwise just let the kids play SOMK and maybe take in Dream Along with Mickey at some point. I expect MK to be extra crowded since it's a Saturday and a non-party day, but we've been to MK on such days in the past and know what to expect.

The backup plan was to go to AK so the kids could work on some of their Wilderness Explorers badges, but with MK being so close, it's hard to justify a bus ride all the way to AK.

My plans would be complete if I could get the BOG fastpass for lunch on the 13th. Then we could get that out of the way and maybe get the 3 p.m. parade in. Then on late night on the 15th we can do everything else, including trying Columbia Harbour House. :thumbsup2

AK has early opening Monday the 15th and I really like getting in there early while it's still cool and the animals are waking for the day. I may hop from AK to MK and then to Epcot on the 13th, or just hang at our resort and have lunch at Olivia's and maybe hit the 3 p.m. parade and then over to Norway. Maybe even ride the train and visit the resorts for Christmas decorations. One always has the panic feeling that you must use every minute of the day because you bought a ticket, but we got one day free so I can kinda have a lazy attitude :lmao:

Has anyone ever experienced them closing MK during the day on a Saturday because they are at capacity (other than holiday weekends of course)?

Ate at Wolfgang's once. Everyone we know agrees... worst place to eat in DTD. Food is aweful.
