Need a roomie for DIS-A-Palooza

A few of us girls were talking in chat last night about going to DIS-A-Palooza alone (minus the DH) and maybe combining our DVC points to get a nice place to stay. If you don't have DVC, I'm sure something could be worked out.

I'm actually VERY interested in this (and we own DVC). I do have to discuss it with Jeff, but I don't see too much problem at this point. He doesn't have that many vacation days left this year, so if I went, it would have to be solo. And I'd really enjoy staying with some of my favorite people!

I just got off the phone with DVC. Right now there are studio rooms available for December 11-14, Fri-Mon. See below.

AKV - SV - 57 points
OKW - 48 points
SSR - 51 points

It can be done in one of 2 ways. One member can transfer the points to another member and the reservation can be made that way. Or, one member can reserve one or two nights and the other member can reserve the other one or two nights. If you aren't DVC, "renting" could be another option.

I think someone had called at one point about the THV and they weren't available...but that was a looooooooooooooong time ago...

I just called. There are no treehouses available for our dates.
There are 2-bedrooms at OKW and SS. AK had 1 2bedroom lockoff in Jambo (Savanah view) available for 150 points, but that was it for all three nights.

So far, nobody has laid claim on the sofa bed.

I've got my airfare credit burning a a hole in my pocket. I'll get my park tickets in a couple weeks, now I just need to split the stay with another DVCer or 2. I don't want to borrow from my next use year, but I would be happy to transfer them or do a linked split stay reservation.

I would really, really like to do this, but fear that Phillip might be really jealous because that's his busy time at work and there's no way he could come. Plus, with the DIS ABD trip and PCC 2, it might just be one crazy, obsessive trip too many (if you know what I mean).

I will have to think about it. If it happens, I may be a last-minute addition to someone's already booked room. Who knows?

Not sure if can swing it on top of the podcast cruise 2.0 and "normal" vacations with my partner. And airfare, etc.
But is there is still room, maybe I can join in later?

During the podcast cruise DH, said I "could go" solo to DisPaLooza So I'd love to join in the fun (non-DVC owner).

However, I've got in-laws visiting and there seems to be a trip brewing right now and the dates might conflict. I'll get it sorted it out and post back - I'll know definitively in 3 weeks!
