Headed to Beach Club Villas soon. Need a room recommendation. Looking for something near an elevator. Not a road view.

Please tell me if you loved your room, and what room.

Also, anyone know where i can see a resort map?

Thanks! You guys are the best!

Then I'd ask for something near an elevator, and not a road view. Anything more precise, and you're setting yourself up for disappointment. Views at BCV aren't a big deal... high or low floors, close to elevator are probably the most reasonable requests. (It's my home resort - had all views... like the road (EPCOT) views the best. Never been bothered by traffic noise.):thumbsup2

Go to the following website: www.parkinfo2go.com . Once there click on the Beach Club Villas option. You will then have access to all five floor layouts which show every room's location, their number, and type. There are also links to views from certain rooms. Combine this with Google Earth's 3-D building and you can get a very good idea of what to expect from a specific room. There's no guarantee that you will get a specific room if you request it, as I found out two years ago. I forget what room I asked for, but I know we didn't get it and were assigned room #173. It wasn't a bad room, and the view wasn't bad (it wasn't great either). We looked out onto a nice lawn area with hedges at the back which were large enough to block our view of the street, which also means the view of our room from the street was blocked.

Me too! My best room was a Epcot view with an extended balcony (too bad I can't remember the number).

We just stayed at BCV. I requested a higher floor with a larger balcony! My balcony was HUGE on the 5th floor (the highest floor). It was room 560 and we had a view of the pool. I loved it and we used the balcony to store our stroller & sat out there everynight when the kids were sleeping.

We stayed in 1BR #320... it was right next to the main elevator & we had a good view of EPCOT Fireworks. I requested any room in the 20's... 320, 520, etc.

These are great!!! I actually used of your suggestions!

jasko5990 - GREAT tip! Totally used the heck out of this.

Mamaiamjo, Djp0630, robertdangelo and disney doc - Doing everything you said! Used your recommendations and put them together with the thing Kasko gave me and calling DVC with ALL my requests.

Thanks to all of you for the quick responses. And BIG BIG help!

I've stayed next door to that, in a studio, specifically #422. It's my favorite location-close to elevator, close to laundry, great view of Illuminations at night, and I love the peacefulness of the woods view from there during the day.

If you have an Epcot view, can you see the fireworks if your up high enough?

Thanks!

R THESE STUDIO OR 1 BDR? i had no idea about the movies thanksss...my ds 11 will love it is it by the pool?

When we booked we requested pool view & anything above the 1st floor at BCV last August. We ended up with 1st floor right by the Ariel statue & they said there was NOTHING else available because they were booked solid, but we might be able to move the next day. Well once I settle in & unpack, I'm not moving so we sucked it up.

It was very convenient, just three doors down & you could turn left to the quiet pool or right to the main building, but I never used our patio because it was literally right next to the walk way from the Villas to the main building. I like to sit out on my balcony & enjoy a cocktail at night or coffee in the morning in my PJs, but I felt so exposed right there that I sat a total of about 10 mins on the patio the whole week. So just be aware that convenient isn't always the best & also that requests are not guaranteed.
