Need a room for 1 night

We are driving down to WDW this weekend for a weeks stay(7 for 5) and staying at the Ft. W cabins. We are trying to decide if we should stop Sunday and arrive Monday for check-in. Last year we spent the night at the Marriot Sawgrass in Jacksonville - beautiful $$$ resort. This would be fun to do again but I was kinda thinking of driving straight to WDW Sunday and staying on or very close to WDW.

We don't want to get a cabin for the first night because we want to keep our package. I could kick myself for missing the July room only discounts. I was thinking of 2 rooms at PopCentury.

Any suggestions?

Do you have AAA? In June just a few days before we needed a room I was able to get the AAA discount at POR.

Oh, that's a great idea! We do have AAA, but I always forget about getting their discount. I'm going to check into that.
