Need A Romantic Restaurant!

I am planning on a suprise getaway with JUST me and DW for 4 days. Though we have been several times before it was never alone. I need some ideas on a romantic eating place for us, that normaly you wouldn't go if we had the kiddies. Thanks!

I suggest the Cali Grille. Nothing more romantic than watching Wishes while enjoying a glass of champagne and eating the Honey Crunch Cake....

we are doing our 25th dinner at ARTIST POINT in June. been said that CG can get a little noisy at times....... heard Narcossee's is very nice also.

One more thing about Artist Point. Ask for a window seat. You may have to wait extra, but it's nice. Unless you go at 5:30 or maybe even 6:00. Then you might get one right away.

The most "adult" restaurants are those that do not accept the dining plan. That would be V&A, Bistro, perhaps bluezoo at the Dolphin. I love V&A but if that's out of your budget range, I think Bistro is an excellent place. They have some window tables for 2 that overlook the world showcase, it's a bit quieter than the standard signatures, the waiters are in tuxes, no children's menu offered, service has always been topnotch. This is our "never miss" place for every trip.

If you are looking for a signature that is on the dining plan, I think Yachtsman Steakhouse is one of the quieter ones that has a bit more of an intimate feel to it.

Bistro de Paris for sure! Lovely setting, excellent service, excellent food, and very quiet. You won't see many kids here, if any.

For me, it would be a trip to the Tamu Tamu lounge (Poly) for tropical drinks and great appies. Then a stroll down to the beach to watch the Electric Light Parade, then Wishes.

. . . Bistro de Paris (Epcot, France, upstairs)
. . . Todd English Blue Zoo (Dolphin)
. . . Artist Point (Wilderness Lodge)

NOTE: This is not a complaint, but most eateries at WDW are too noisy and too crowded. After all, this is a family destination, and one must expect it. Fortunately, there are few spots so expensive that kids don't go often.

I would suggest Jiko or California Grill. We have dined at Artist Point several times and never found it in the same class as Jiko or CG.

Citrico's is another place you might consider. Also known as V&A's poor cousin (it's right next door), they have good food and it's not a popular kids spot.

If you like Mexican, try San Angel Inn. I went there with my DBF this past New Years and we loved it. I thought it was very romantic.
