Just closed today for an add on of 160 pts for AKV. Dh and I missed last weekends event, and found out here what the incentives were....for 160 pt add on these are the incentives we received (our guide said this deal ends Aug 15th):

160 point add-on.

$1,000 Visa Gift Card
5 night stay at SSR or AKV (AKV after May 1st) to use within a year anytime except Premier time.
$8 off each point ($1,280) used towards down payment.
Fast Passes for each person

That's a good deal. If I win the lottery tonight, I'll call my guide in the morning for another add on!

I was told you could also use the Developer Points through Interval..up to 1 yr from date of contract.

I was told the Disney Visa was $500 if referred by a DVC member....

Is the $1000 offer only for add on's from existing members?

Yes...right now there are slight differences between incentive offers for new members vs. existing members.

After seeing the posts about incentives for referrals (and knowing someone that could be my referral), I asked my guide about it today. She said since I am already in the system, I didn't qualify. It seems that I've seen some posts where people have added the referral later, after they have "been in the system" also. Has anyone done this and still get the referral incentive?

WE had friends that had it deleted in the system and then got the referral..It is worth a try!!!!!!!!

My wife and I are looking into the DVC and was wondering if we could get some insite from people who already own. The sales people make it seen so great all the time, I know that there HAS to be some draw back to it. We got the current 100pt buy in with the $800.00 and the $500.00 discounts haven't made a 100% decision yet. Any and all help would be appriciated. Thanks for all your time
