Dh and I have decided to purchase a new digital camera. We currently have a Canon S60 and really do not like it all that well. We have had problems with the focus and it ruined what would of been good pics in Disney. Before that we had a Kodak Easyshare and that was ok until one day it just died. Of course it was just after warranty. So those 2 are not high on my list right now.

We are looking to spend $200-350 and do not need anything fancy. Just a good camera to takes good pics of the kids and is easy to use. We were looking at the Sony Cybershot or a Fugi. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Of those two, Fuji has been known lately to have cameras that perform well in low light. I do not know much about Sony, but do be aware that Sony takes memory sticks which are typically more expensive than other memory types. The best thing to do is read some reviews to narrow your options down and then actually go out and handle them in a store.

I like http://www.dcresource.com, http://www.steves-digicams.com, and http://www.dpreview.com for reviews.

well, I just transferred myself some money to buy the Olympus 77 SW. It will not only take awesome pics on your Disney trip (I own all Olympus and ahve never been disappointed) but you can bring it with you in the pool or to the beach or skiing and it will still take awesome pics. info straight from Olympus - http://www.olympusamerica.com/cpg_section/product.asp?product=1287

It is waterproof to 33 ft, crush-proof to 220 lbs, drop-proof to 5ft and freeze it to -10. Way more than most of us need but covers every angle. You will need to get an XD card but it is worth it in the end. I am still using one I bought 4 yrs ago and love it but want to upgrade.
