Can someoby give me the latest? I know they have been intermittently testing the new red train. Any chance it's up and running full time now? Going this week!

No official word from the park. They still dont' have an opening date for the new trains. I think its going to be a while so I wouldn't hold my breath.

The folks working the monorail station in Tomorrowland told me that it was when "the powers that be" (the higher ups) decide it is ready and that there is no truth to the 60 hours of testing that I heard about.

I have seen pics of the testing and talked to a few people. The story that was consistant was that the ride was "not smooth". They are going to do some tweeks and minor adjustments. I will be there next week and I am not thinking it will even be tested then. Well I hope not because they shut the hole thing down for about an hour to put it on and when they take it off.

I rode a monorail into the parks last week and the new one was being tested on the tracks. the cast member came on the speaker to explain that its the new monorail and is expected to be open by mid summer.

We saw the new red one (so pretty) being tested on Sunday. The first time it was going really slow, the last time it was going at "normal" speed, or seemed to be as it was followed by an old monorail and they were going about the same speed. :)

We were at DL over Memorial Day weekend and one of the Monorail Cast Members said they may have the sensor problems fixed, but it seems the ventilation system is what is causing the delay as of now. There is no air conditioning, but the ventilation system that is installed does not seem to be working correctly.

Oh Phooey. I will be there next week and had heard it would open before teh TSM over at DCA. Ah, well.

Well it's way over due; waited for the one monorail at DTD for ever just to not get on and have to wait for the only one to circle the park again. Having only one really sucks!

Rode the old one on Tuesday. I did see the red one earlier in the day and it looked like there were people on it but that was the only time I saw it.
