UPDATE #2
We got another bit of good news that I wanted to share. There was one virus they were checking for that was a bad one, the one her symptoms DID match, but it came back negative just a little while ago. This one they said there was a strong likelihood if she did recover the weakness would be permanent. This means they will not be using the experimental medication.
I need to ask the doctor if there are any more potentially really bad ones that we haven't received results back from yet. I would imagine there are but this is the one they were most worried about (I think, at least I was most worried about this one because they told me about it as being a possibility.)
Well that's all for tonight. Keep praying. She's had a lot of problems today with nausea and that feels so miserable. So if you can throw in a few prayers that the nausea can be controlled that would be great too. And that the strength in her legs will return so she can walk.
It is so sad to see the condition she is in now compared to last Wed. when we were admitted. I think I didn't mention before that the infection is in her brain and all down her spinal column. I guess typical encephelitis is only in the brain, so we're not out of the woods yet.
But I truly believe in the power of prayer so that's why I'm asking. Our family is having a special day of fasting and prayer tomorrow for Laura. I truly love you guys.
