Need a lunch plan for our day at the Studios...CS on DDP?

I have read here that the CS locations at the Studios are nothing to write home about. Would we do better walking over to the boardwalk for a CS lunch that day? It's about a 20-minute walk from the Studios, or a boat ride, right? We are on the DDP and would like a nice location for lunch with some good food. But don't want to get back into the car until we head back to the room for a nap because our two sons will definitely fall asleep in the car and it is important that they eat lunch. So we thought the boardwalk might be a nice alternative.

What are some good CS lunches at the STudios, and any good CS lunches you could recommend on the boardwalk? On the dining plan of course so we can use a CS credit!

Thank you,
Bonnie

our cs meal at MGM was our hardest decision to make.
i read on here for months about different places.
we ended up doing the backlot express, and it was actually DH's fav lunch the whole week. he got a burger, it was fresh cooked and delicious, and theyhad a great burger fixing bar:thumbsup2
i had a chix finger basket that was good.
we liked it, but you will hear many different opinions on lunch in this park.

Agreed....we had a good lunch there last year, hot & fresh. I had a pulled pork sandwich.,.yum!

Check over the menus either on this site or allearsnet.com for the Epcot resort area (Boardwalk, Beach Club, Yacht Club, Swan and Dolphin).

A lot of places in the Boardwalk area only serve breakfast and dinner but there are a few serving lunch. ESPN does and the Yacht Club has a nice quiet restaurant.

The walk is about 15-20 minutes. The boat ride could be longer depending on if you have to wait for a boat.

I really like the turkey sandwich at the backlot express. If you do end up at Downtown Disney, I am a HUGE fan of the ham & swiss at Earl of Sandwich, and just about anything at Wolfgang Puck express!

We like to leave Studios and go to Coronado Springs resort and have our counter service at Pepper Market. There are so many choices and it is almost TS for CS. Check out the menu at allearsnet.com Its a quick bus ride and my kids love it.

Backlot Express has a great grilled veggie sandwich (along with your standard burger/chix strips fare). And Flatbread Grill has grilled chicken with rice and black beans that's very tasty. Other family members enjoy the pulled pork sub and chili cheese dog there as well.

Are you able to use the DDP here? I do not see it listed in the DDP locations.
