So made a huge F@$@ UP,,,,Booked a March break trip,,flight,,decent price on rental car,,and nice view 1 bdrm for 7 nights.
Then the wife comes and tells me that she was able to get the friday off,,,but she told me the 11th,,,I explained thats nice but we leave on the 18th. She looks at me and says check the school schedule......AAUGGHHH,,,booked the wrong week.
Flights can be changed,,no issue and no cost difference,,,car changed,,no cost difference,,but not a jeep now,,,,room,,,GULP,,,missing 3 days mon to wed.
Now just hoping a waitlist comes in,,,plus stalking,,was able to pick up 1 day from stalking,,the sunday.
Now to sweat out the wait and hope.
Whats the chances?
Has anyone used Turo? I have not booked with them, Alamo, but it does look tempting.
rant over, I will deal with my fate.

Make sure you check your car insurance and credit card rental coverage. A lot do not cover Turo rentals.

When I checked my rental car today ( I check almost every day), it was as cheap as it has ever been. 11/16-11/27 was about $465 on the Chase travel portal (10x points with my CSR) for a Toyota Corolla. I would encourage you to check rental car prices again and maybe it went down Travelocity is often similar if you don't have access to Chase. Good luck!

TURO APP for car rental. I booked a newish Audi SUV for 1/2 the price that the Rental Agencies were charging for a "standard" car.

No advice to give, because I haven't been to Aulani yet, but just wanted to chime in to say I'm cheering for you. We all make mistakes. I know I screw up on a daily basis. I'm hoping for you that it all comes together. Don't beat yourself up!

Don't beat yourself up - this is something I would do. Happens to the best of us. I've used Turo on our Aulani trip Feb 2020 before the world shut down. Rented a Tesla model 3 and it was incredible. (Free electric charging around the island, but inc. at Aulani.) I can vouch for Turo. Our insurance covered it just fine - just like it would a rental car. Good luck!

Thanks all,,,,we have rejigged the dates and now are all confirmed for mid July. Car rental with our Aeroplan points,,,cheap,,shocked but all good to go. Now to plan what to do.

July is a much better time to visit anyway. March has been cold (by Hawaii standards anyway) the past few years and rainy.

We are from Canada Eh! Lol..so even florida in Jan has us as the only ones in the pool.
We did an Africa trip that had us climb Kilamanjaro,, there is a river half way up of cold running water...we Canadians were washing up naked in it,,and our guides had to explain to the other guides,,Canadians.
