Need a little help please

One way to request das is to explain what will happen if you do end up waiting in line. Its hard to say without giving a script, but your statement that everyone around you will wish they were getting a root canal honestly isnt too far off the mark
Haha! I can chuckle about it, but it’s the truth. Sometimes I wish I was even at the dentist....❤️

I am in no way suggesting that anyone aim to bend/break rules, but I bet if you have the hood cover pulled up on the stroller, nobody is going to demand that you open it to show the Mask Police that your sweet boys are in compliance. 8-)

Enjoy, and I hope you have a smooth and magic-filled trip!
That is not fair to the staff just doing their job trying to protect the employees and guests. Calling them mask police is rude, and trying to suggest a way to cheat around the rules is just asking for trouble. I am more concerned that people not spend money to go to the parks without full knowledge of the mask regulations. It would be horrible to get there and have to leave because your child is unable to comply with the mask rules

Well, in all fairness, I did admit that my boys can wear masks. She was just honestly trying to help out with a suggestion ( sometimes severe special needs mommas/all mommas need a little “wink wink” “hug hug” help) We all had Covid and get tested every 3 months for antibodies as part of a complex medical needs study here at our Childrens hospital to help study “natural” antibodies vs immunization induced antibodies. My boys and my family were wearing masks before the general public had to even complain about it. Families ( and children) with medical complexities get “used” to these things very early on in life. Naturally, like any “toddler” ( due to their developmental disabilities) there are times they take their masks off. ( just like typical tioddlers might take their shoes, socks, or even masks off). I am by no means ignorant and quite aware of mask mandates, so I actually appreciated her momma heart forever letting me know that the whole trip will not be disastrous if one of them removes their mask. I saw it more as a “here’s a solution until you can get everyone re-masked”. It’s much more helpful to get useful loving advice than to receive “gloom and doom to your vacation” if your child cannot do x,y,z. I have zero intention of “hiding” them in a covered up stroller all trip long in 90 degree weather just to avoid a mask mandate. I am a far more responsible person than that

WDW rules require masks of all guests age 2+ everywhere on property with no exceptions. Any further discussion about masks will be removed. I’d like to leave this thread open for suggestions to the OP from others who have traveled with similar needs.

Sorry that my message was misinterpreted. I never meant to imply that someone not follow the rules- in fact I actually said "I'm not implying that someone break/bend the rules."

I was only trying to give OP and the boys some cover just in case an ear loop comes off/someone is having a meltdown (been there!) and a mask slips off for a second or two. She knows the rules, and that's great. Sorry if I offended anyone or my post was taken as rudeness. ❤

Yes, this is what we have done in the past with all the fosters we have taken. We have been fostering for 14 years, 38 kiddos!

My older daughter and her wife just started being a foster family - they have 3 wonderful kiddos placed with them right now and I'm dying to take them to WDW! We're dealing with the no photos rule too, and wonder how you handle the ones taken on attractions?

You are allowed to have their pictures taken. Here in our state/county we can Even post them on FB but with NO identifying information. You cannot print/post/ let a newspaper or any organization print a picture of them using their names or “foster child”. You can have their pictures taken in attractions and buy them and keep them. Disney could even, if they chose, use it in an advertisement as long as their names or “foster child” were not used.

I’m not sure what state they are in ( and how the “system” works where they are) but they should have a social worker, from the county. They can ask her? We have rules here that are called “prudent parenting” which give you/the kids a little bit of flexibility to make things more “normal” fir the kiddos experience while they are in foster care. ( such as being part of family photos so they feel “included”). They can always check with their social worker. I have don’t this for awhile, so you/they ( anyone really!) is welcome to DM me any questions! I will answer them to the best of my ability, or try to get an answer fir
