Hi! I think I've narrowed down all of our choices for meals - but I have 1 "want to eat there" left-over. What do I bump?

Day1 - arrive - Chef Mickey's
DAy 2 - 50's Prime Time Cafe
DAy 3 - Cindy's Breakfast (hopefully) , Crystal Palace
DAy 4 - LTT
DAy 5 - Concourse Steakhouse
Day 6 - Japan, Plaza Restaurant
Day 7 - O'Hana's
Day 8 - Tony's (then MNSSHP)
Day 9 - Trail's End
Day 10 - early flight - no time for sit down breakfast

I have Whispering Canyon left - and no where to add it. I tried to stick to just one PS a day (except for Cindy's breakfast) because I figure we'll do the counters the rest of the time.

I need to get this 'finalized' because it's almost time to start calling.
(only you all can understand obsessing over where we're eating 3 months in advance - my dh thinks I've completely lost it!)

Not sure if I am any help...

What is special about the Concourse Steakhouse? Trail's end is similar to Whispering Canyon - the themeing and type of food but WC has more atmosphere. Either of those is where I would swap out Whispering Canyon. Or save it for the next trip, what better reason to come back to WDW?

Your PSs all look like fun.

Thank you for the quick response!
I've heard Concourse Steakhouse is great for steaks (dh's favorite) and 'supposedly' has the best burgers (my favorite).
I guess I didn't realize Trails End and WC had the same food- Dh LOVES ribs, so I thought of Trails End.... I'll look over both menus I guess and go from there, but after your post, I'm leaning towards WC.

Thanks!

After reading your list, the first thing that popped into my mind was eliminating Concourse. (And that was BEFORE reading the responses before me.)
I, too LOVE steaks (and my family, too)....and I, too, have asked about Concourse on this website several times. Honestly....after all the so-so responses, we decided to knock it off our list every time.
So....keeping in mind that we've NEVER tried it....I'd say knock out Concourse. (And to make it more confusing, we found the steaks at LeCellier very, very good!)
Anyway...enjoy your trip.....the rest of your list looks like a LOT of fun!

I would do Le Cellier or the Yachtsman Steakouse over the Concourse.
I would do Whispering Canyon over Trails End

My suggestion would be Yachtsman Steakhouse instead of the Concourse & to do Trail's End for breakfast & Whispering Canyon for dinner. JMO! :D

I have eaten dinner at both Trail's End & Whispering Canyon. I don't think the food is similar & the atmosphere is certainly different. The servers at Whispering Canyon put on a "show" during dinner. :)

Of the ones you list, the only one I have eaten (so far) is Chef Mickey's. But from the reviews I've read, I'd bump Concourse Steakhouse. I think you would be more entertained at Whispering Canyon. Our goal, of course, is to try all the restaurants, eventually, and with two more trips scheduled this year, we'll be well on our way!

Could you just add one? How about on the day you do Cindy's B-fast you do Whispering canyon for dinner.

I bet you can get a good steak close to home...maybe from your own grill, even!

Where can you get the fun antics of Whispering Canyon?! Skip the Concourse, and maybe even Trail's End.

Have a fabulous vacation!:sunny:

I'm dropping Concourse Steakhouse and adding Whispering Canyon! :) Are their lunches (at WC) similar in atmosphere to dinners?

One more question- I was under the impression that the Crystal Palace was not a character dinner (only lunch). Is it always a character meal?

Thanks for all your help!

Crystal Palace is always a character meal with Pooh and friends. It's very bustling and the character interaction here is great (I especially LOVE Eeyore ;) ). There may be fewer characters at lunch than at dinner. We had a terrific dinner here in 2001 before MNSSHP. The characters were really playing with my kids, "stealing" parts of their costumes, very funny. We saw Pooh, Tigger, Piglet and EEYORE! I've never had breakfast here, but have read many yummy reviews on this board.

Here's my 2 cents:

Day1 - arrive - Chef Mickey's -- Unless this is for breakfast, I'd drop CM and do WCC instead (dinner is awful)
DAy 2 - 50's Prime Time Cafe -- Great place to dine
DAy 3 - Cindy's Breakfast (hopefully) , Crystal Palace -- I've only had lunch & dinner at Cindy's, so I can't comment on breakfast (although L & D were excellent). I LOVE the CP!! Dined there for lunch & dinner on my last trip. Every meal has characters.
DAy 4 - LTT -- Not a bad place
DAy 5 - Concourse Steakhouse -- Was not too thrilled with the CS on my last trip.
Day 6 - Japan, Plaza Restaurant -- I would do either Le Cellier or the Rose & Crown (get a PS 1 1/2 hours prior to Illuminations, then ask for a patio table when you check in)
Day 7 - O'Hana's -- Not bad
Day 8 - Tony's (then MNSSHP) -- Was not thrilled with this place. I would do CP or Cindy's
Day 9 - Trail's End
Day 10 - early flight - no time for sit down breakfast

We only have one dinner PS during our upcoming trip and it is at Whispering Canyon. It sounds like such a blast for all ages.

I love a good steak, so I've been reading about the steaks at WDW since our trip last summer. The best appears to be Shula's which is in the Swan/Dolphin, next to the Yacht Club. The Yachtsman Steakhouse is also supposed to be very good. But Le Cellier in World Showcase gets even better reviews. It also sounds like it has some good kid choices, unlike Shula's.

I noticed that you are going to the Plaza Restaurant. Could you get a steak that night instead? I haven't heard anything at all about the Plaza.
