Need a few more ADRs

I need a few more ADRs, and was hoping for some suggestions. So far we have Chef Mickey, 1900PF, Ohana, WCC, BOG, CRT, Tusker House, Crystal palace, 50s PT, Akershus, and Garden Grill. It will be two adults and 2 kids (11 and 9). I have one picky eater, but we can always get him a meal before or after we eat, if it were up to him it would be Chef Mickey's every night. We have never tried HDDR, so thinking about that one. Biergarten looks fun, wondering if lunch or dinner would be better. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks so much!!

HDDR is something I think every one should experience! Biergarten is good, and lunch and dinner are pretty much the same, with dinner having a couple of additional meat dishes. But because it's a buffet, and its German food, so can be a little on the heavy side, we do this for dinner.

HDDR is fabulous. My jaded teenager even enjoyed it. As for Biergarten, we eat there for lunch because it's mostly the same food, and it's cheaper. We like Biergarten a lot as well.

Love HDDR! It's so much fun. Another place to maybe consider in Epcot is Via Napoli since it's different than anything else on your list. I think their pizza is delicious, and the pasta dishes I've tried are quite good there too.

Looks like we have the same taste! I have most of those ADRs too. HDDR was corny. I didnt like the meal either. Fried chix and ribs on bones...ick! But, it is entertainment, in AC and with all my other meals, it wasnt like I starved. I prefer the Luau and BBQ.

Konas breakfast is really good. Cape May breakfast is good too...a lot like Chef Mickeys. I had dinner at Beirgarten, It was different. Polka music during the meal! I found a few things I really liked. We went towards the end of our 12 day trip. It was nice to chat with another family at our table :)

I LOVE San Angel Inn. Grand Floridian Cafe has a nice lunch. Beautiful atmosphere. The Plaza in the MK is great. Nice and cool inside. Meal is not too heavy, and of course, ice cream :)

I recently posted a thread looking for a good place to have dinner. Trails End got rave reviews. Ive never been, but Im looking forward to it in a few weeks.

Sorry for the short sentences. Im typing with one hand (broke my left hand a month ago)

Enjoy your trip.

Dining plan?

Either way, Sci Fi is fun! OOP can be inexpensive if you want. They have a lot of plain foods (burger, sandwich, onion rings, milk shakes). The ambiance is very cool!

Thanks so much everyone for the replies:). We will have the dining plan. We usually eat at the same places over and over, but with more dining credits than we have ever had I want to try a few new to us places.

If on DP, Biergarten is a good choice for dinner. If OOP, then lunch is significantly less $ for a family and many (but not all) of the same food items. Maybe check online for the stage show performance times. Ideally, you'd like to have your ADR booked for at least a half hour before the show starts so if they are running late, you have a chance of getting to see the first part of the show.

Teppan Edo might be another suggestion particularly given the age of your kids. Its an expensive 1 credit meal on the DP so a good choice for maximizing the value of your plan.

Sci-Fi at HS is unique, fun & interesting. The food isn't great and not as good of a value on the DP. Much better choice for an OOP lunch. Considering the changes coming to HS, this is a restaurant that could change significantly in the next year or so. Even something as simple as a new Star Wars theming overlay would completely change the experience. I would caution that this is only speculation on my part. Not even a rumor. But I'll be having a light OOP lunch at Sci-Fi this Fall so I can enjoy it just in case there are changes in the future.

Boma is an incredible buffet dinner choice. However, you already have Tusker and the food is similar. But IMO, there is a much greater choice and variety at Boma. The catch is that it is not in the park.

Yak & Yeti table service in AK is another really interesting, fun and tasty choice. Perhaps check out the menu online and also google pics of the interior to see if it might be for you.

We love Boma if you want a resort meal. Also HDDR, Via Napoli, and we did like Biergarten which was such fun. As for the lunch or dinner at Biergarten we just plan accordingly with an early lunch and skip breakfast or skip lunch and eat a late lunch/early dinner. Have fun!

Another vote for HDDR. It really is something everyone should try at least once, and your kids are perfect ages for the show, IMO.

I'll also second the picks of either Boma at AKL and Teppan Edo at EPCOT, esp. if you've never been to a hibachi/Japanese Steakhouse meal before. My DD's still talk about the onion volcano from 6 years ago!

Enjoy!

That's a lot of time spent at sit-down meals! I agree with the Boma suggestion tho', it's really lovely.

That was my first thought. I hate having my park days tied to ADRs. I make very few and have gone entire trips not making any on park days. That being said I always have a Boma dinner reservation for a non-park day so that is my recommendation.
