Need a Fast Pass+ Overview Please

Im looking forward to our Fall trip and having the opportunity to use Fast Pass+
and Im finding conflicting info on it...

- How many choices do you have per day/park?
- What choices beside "rides" are available?
- Does it make it more difficult to coordinate or make reservations with friends or family you are traveling with?
- Suggestions or recommendations?

3 choices per day 1 park per day.
rides, food, parades, fireworks

I should be more difficult just link you family and friends to our account.
