My son wants a camera for his birthday. He has borrowed my point-and-shoot camera from me and loves it and now wants his own.

I am looking for something
fairly inexpensive (ideally under $100)
easy to use
takes a good picture (super high resolution is not required)

Which ones would you suggest?

I was looking at the Kodak EasyShare line as a possibility, but wanted other opinions.

Thanks for the help!

My then 5 yr old got a Kodak Easyshare 12Mp when we went to Disney, She Loves it!!! Very easy to use and will even take small movies!!

I second the Kodak EasyShare. I have a 300 Series that I love. Yeah, it's only 4 mega pixels but it works for me and is easy to use. I was lucky enough to get a bundle with the printer dock for 150.00. It might be worth the extra money to get the dock so you don't have to get one later. Check Best Buy-they have some good deals.

You don't have the best camera on the block. Sometimes, the cheapest ones are the best and last the longest. I've had my camera since 2003 and it's been to Disney World several times and love it to death.

We got our oldest a Kodak Easyshare for his 8th birthday, we gave to him on our way to WDW. He hasn't had any problems, and takes care of it. He didn't have any trouble learning to use it.

I got a refurbed one from Kodak's website.
