I need help finding a fun night for 6 adults and 7 children (ages 3 to 12). We are doing dinner at the Rainforest Cafe at 4:30 pm and then had planned on spending the evening together but don't know where to go. Has anyone been to Atlantic Dance or Jellyrolls with kids? What about mini-golf? Any other ideas????

HELP!!!!

Unfortunately many of the places on the Boardwalk & Pleasure Island not only are not geared for kids, but will not allow people under 18 or 21 in the club. How about renting surreys to ride at the Boardwalk or mini-golf(we've played both Fantasia Gardens & Winter-Summerland & they are great) Another idea is to do the campfire program at Ft Wilderness. They have a sing along with characters & show a Disney movie for free, & you can purchase the fixin's for som'ores too. Then you can see the Electrical Water pageant from the beach. There are also hay wagons rides at about $6(this was adult price) At DD there is the Lego place where the kids can actually play with Legos as well as see all the great sculptures. If its hot, there are fountains they can play in there too. You can ride a boat up to PO too. Hope this gives you some ideas.

I'm partial to the campfire at FW. The singalong is so fun if you're willing to get into the spirit, and they usually show a good movie. The water parade is fun, too.

We did Fantasia Gardens mini-golf. I think they might discount with a AAA card. We had a discount coupon from the booklet ordered from the Holiday Inn family suites website I found listed here.

We also drove up to Pirate's Cove one night (the one on Universal-but there is one closer to Disney just a few miles up the interstate) and had a wonderful nite playing mini-golf after we ate at Bahama Breeze.

Maybe go to a movie?

Mini golf would be fun but if your looking for cheap it might not be too cheap.

So to show you what a major tight wad I am my suggestion would be after dinner to go to the resort hotel and let the kids swim while the adults kick back with a few drinks and relax in lounge chairs visiting. I know your thinking not too exciting and I don't know where your staying but even the All Stars have a pool bar and lots of outside tables and chairs. Sounds like a nice relaxing evening to me. :D

Go over to FW and join in on the fun at the Campfire. Kick back and watch a movie,

Is there a fee to attend the campfire or is it free of charge? You indicated there is a movie and you can buy fixings for smores but I wasn't sure if what else you had to pay for.

It is great fun. You can obtain the movie schedule by calling Ft. Wilderness. They show a different movie every night. The activities start at 8P with a singalong and the movie starts at 8:40P (at least that was the schedule last week). We saw Rescuers Down Under. You can buy items to make s'mores or feel free to bring your own. We did. We only bought the sticks (to roast the marshmallows). It was a great, casual night.

On another note, unfortunately, you must be either 18 or 21 to enter Jellyrolls or Atlantic Dance Hall.
