We would like our California vacation to include a day at Legoland, 1 or 2 days (?) at Sea World, possibly a beach day - to check out La Jolla and Coronado Island and 3 days at DLR. Which order would you do this in? Which airport would be fly into, and would you rent a car? Thanks for any input!:)

Normally when we do something like this we split our stay and stay 3-4 nights near Disneyland and then 3-4 nights in San Diego. It'd really depend on when you are going to be there as to which I would do first. You want to try to catch disneyland during less busy days but you also may want to be there during nighttime entertainment and if it's off season that means spending some time there on Friday or Sat. You CAN stay the entire time at disney and drive to SD for the day but with traffic and such it's really not the best plan to me. There's so much in SD that you could spend a week there and not get to see it all.

Just FYI - Legoland is north of San Diego a bit so it's a good one to hit on your way to SD. Like if you stayed the night at DL after your last night in the parks and then drove to SD and hit legoland that day and then checked into your new hotel that night.

We don't normally fly because we live in Northern Ca but I'd say maybe in and out of John Wayne in Orange County might be easiest. But LAX or SD wouldn't be too bad either. I would definitely rent a car.

We have a trip coming up in Oct and I've been trying to figure out how to split our time. I've been thinking that 2 days at DL then SD for 3-4 and then back to DL for 2 might be really ideal (I start to feel a bit worn down from the long days and crowds after a couple of days and really enjoyed it at WDW when we took the advice and did 2 days on 1 day off) but that would put us at DL on 2 weekends so might just do SD first and then DL the last 3-4 days.

Hope you have a great trip! Post your dates and I might be able to give more specific advice!

Just tossing this out there- but I don't think you need more than one day at Legoland. I don't know about anything else you mentioned except that if it was me, I'd try to do DLR last. :)
