Ok so this weekend we are taking a trip, we let each of our girls invite a friend and they are both coming with us! :) :cool1: Our girls are sooooooo excited and their friends are too! :) Anyway, we are normally a group of 4, 2 kids, 2 adults but with the extra 2 kids we will need a larger room.....anyone have any ideas on where to stay? It doesn't have to be walking distance, we have Premium APs so we get free parking but we would like it to be a decent place. :)

We love the Garden Grove area. These hotels have the suites where there are 2 Queens and a sofabed -- good for 6 people:

Anaheim Marriott Suites (free parking)
Homewood Suites (free parking and breakfast)
Embassy Suites South (free parking and breakfast)
Residence Inn Garden Grove (free parking and breakfast)

The above hotels all get great reviews on Tripadvisor. We have never stayed in those hotels but have done our research on them whenever we decide which Garden Grove hotel to stay in.

Also, with a party of 6, it's nice to have the free breakfast.

We booked a 3 room suite at the ramaa maingate- it has 2 bathrooms, 3 nice sized bedrooms, is close an reasonable....

Hilton Suites was really nice and you get a hot breakfast buffet. We would love to stay there again but can not deal with ART, strollers and kids. Just too much!

Desert Inn has a Parlor Suite A with 2 Q and pull out sofa for $139, but no availablility for sunday night so not sure if you would be staying that night too. And location would be great

Yes, we are staying sunday too so that won't work for us. :) Thanks everyone, keep the ideas coming, we are booking a room tonight. :)

Camelot Inn, the suite has a king bed in the main area, then another room with 2 queen (or maybe doubles).

Thanks everyone. :) I appreciate your input very much. :)

We stayed at the Hilton Suites in Orange a few years back in a corner suite. It sleeps six. It was one of our most enjoyable trips. It is a little away from the action, as a matter of fact it is over by where the Angel's play baseball. They had great breakfast too. You are such a nice Mom for doing that.

I would recommend the Residence Inn (either one). The one in Garden Grove does have free parking (that's where we stayed) and is a quick drive to DL. If you did a 1 bedroom/2 queens there you could let the girls have the bedroom and you guys have the sleeper sofa. Or they do have 2 bedroom suites. The free breakfast is FANTASTIC and would fill us until mid-afternoon, so we saved on food that way as well!

We are staying at Residence Inn Maingate and have a suite with king bed, bunk beds, and sofa bed for $69 a night.
Free breakfast too

We really like this hotel. We stayed here our first trip to DLR with our 4 DS's and it was really nice. We loved the space and having a separate area for TV and eating was great. We could put our littles to bed and watch some tv and hang out with our olders. The drive is really easy too, right on the I5 for about 2 minutes and then right off! Super fast and easy.

Just curious...how did you get that rate? I can't find anything that comes close. The only good rates I can find are on the studio room which only sleeps 4 and we are a family of 5. TIA

Thanks for your help everyone. We ended up going with the Castle Inn & Suites for $128 a night for the Family Suite, 2 queen beds, 1 king, 2 TVs, micro, fridge. More than we wanted to pay but we did check everywhere else that was suggested and nothing was available. I also checked everywhere else on my DL area map, this one was the best price with the most room so we went with it. I've always wanted to stay here, I just hope the room is nice. :)

The kids are so excited, they were making lists for their friends last night too so they would be sure to pack everything they might need. :)

Noga, the room you suggested was $209 a night.....for that we could stay at the GCH! lol

Out of the above hotels I've stayed at the Residence Inn and Homewood Suites. They are both excellent choices. The breakfast is pretty good at both places. Although, I hear the breakfast at Embassy Suites is the best???

Yes, I also heard the Embassy Suites serves the better complimentary hot breakfast. Though we have a reservation at the Hilton Garden Inn (next door to the Embassy Suites South) for a bed and breakfast rate of $105/night, I'm checking the rates at the Embassy Suites daily to see if they drop from the current $135/night.

We got it through Orbitz. I know that the rate is only good on some dates, but both we and our friends (who are going at a different time) got the same rate.

Oh and see I was trying to book on Expedia, Hotwire, Orbitz and they all said our party size was too big so we just booked with the hotel.
