Need 2 Treehouse Villas for 2011 Spring Break! Need help!

Is there any kind of strategy needed to be able to reserve two villas at the 11 month window? Do I just call the same number on the back of the member card? The 11 month out date I can call may fall on a Sunday - can I reserve on a Sunday or are the phone lines closed?

If I can't get the villas, should I go ahead and reserve the 2-bedrooms at SS and then keep calling back for the villas? I don't think I can reserve two rooms and then waitlist for another (because I won't have enough points to cover the waitlisted ones ??).

You can call on a Sunday - my 11 month mark for Spring break 2011 was last Sunday. I called right at 9:00 am and was able to reserve just what I wanted - a 2 bedroom dedicated villa at the Beach Club. If the tree houses aren't available, just book the 2 bedrooms and waitlist for the tree houses. They will cancel your 2 bedrooms if the tree houses become available.

MS is open from 9am to 5:30pm eastern time, 7 days a week. They are closed for major US holidays.

When you put in a wait list, you don't have to additional points to cover that reservation and the one currently booked.

For example, if you book two rooms at SSR and then put in a WL for a tree house, you don't have to have points to cover the tree house separately.

If the wait list comes through, they will cancel your original reservation and use those same points to fill the wait list, plus any additional points needed if the new reservation is more. In your case, since THV and 2 bedrooms are the same amount, it should be an even swap of points.

I called last month to reserve our THV for Spring Break next year.

I very quickly verified all info (right at 9:00 a.m) and asked you to hurry for the THV. I got mine, and she said there were quite a few available. My back up plan was a 2 BR at SSR also.

Isn't it sick that we get so excited so far in advance? I've tried to start making ressies on shorter notice, but it has become so common to reserve at 11 months, I feel like I'm shirking!

I know what it's like to need to share the excitment. I feel that way when I snag concierge at AKV, and somehow, while polite, the MS reps aren't nearly as thrilled as I am!

We also were able to book a treehouse for our spring break. I called a couple of weeks past the 11 month window because I hadn't noticed that it wasn't premier season next year. They still had a treehouse.Spring Break and my youngest's 6th birthday! So thrilled!!! Now to find good airfare.....
