Hi,

We'll be there April 14 - 24. We will be on the DP but don't mind paying OOP for a couple. Party consist of DH, DD22, DS11, DS8 and myself. Also traveling with best friends and their 4 children. Some reservations are with are friends, some are not. Would like to book at least 1 more with them, so would need a reservation for party of 11.

Here's what we have booked so far -

T-Rex - Dinner
Chef Mickey - Breakfast
Cape May - Dinner
Crystal Palace - Breakfast
California Grill - 9:20PM - My 50Th birthday :yay:
LeCellier - Dinner
___________ Will most likely visit DHS
___________ Will change resorts in the A.M., then visit AK late afternoon.
Teppan Edo - Dinner
Kona Cafe - Dinner

We do like Boma, and 'Ohana is ok, but buffets aren't are first choice. We like Yak & Yeti, but aren't sure about the time frame that day.

Any ideas?

Teppan Edo ! :thumbsup2 Great CHoice! Ya'll will have a blast there!

I'll agree with PP....and "Raise you" to the "HBD - F! Dinner package"...

I have this booked for our trip in May...will help save time...

Other than that ...I don't have any TS suggestions of the restaurants I've been to. I LOVE the 'OHana Breakfast...done it 4 times
I have done Cape May Dinner 3 times...but I wouldn't go back unless I "had" to... only did it then for picky fam of Five plus staying at BC....Love CRT...been about 10 times....if you haven't been to CRT... YOU SHOULD GO !

A couple suggestions from my "wish list": Kouzzina's...Yak & Yeti...HDDR...Kimono's... I have ADR's and will try these in May...

Have a Fabulous Trip!
Mary

I have one word for you for the day you will be at AK........................................................

BOMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Enough said

You can also do the Fantasmic dinner package with Mama Melroses. I love the food there and it is a little less pricey than the HBD.

for your DHS day how about sci fi diner? Our favorite dinner is Ohana's in the polynesian resort. You do know that TREX is not on DP, right?

One suggestion before you book the Hollywood Brown Derby check out the menu. We did the Fantasmic package last year and loved it but our 13 year old didn't really care for the menu. Also when Dave did a review of it for the podcast last year his children were unhappy with the food options too. So with a 8 year old and an 11 year old please just look over the menu first. you don't want anyone to be disappointed.

Have you considered Whispering Canyon Cafe? With the age range you have it might be fun for everyone. We enjoyed it the few times we ate there when we stayed at WL.

Another vote here for Boma! We also love Biergarten though I know that's not the vicinity you were looking for.

Thanks for all the ideas. When I started running the suggestions past the family, DH realized he won't be there for the Chef Mickey's breakfast, (he flying down a couple of days later due to work.) He said, Chef Mickey's is one of his favorites :rotfl: and wants me to change a few things around, if possible. (Although, lately I'm not reading great reviews of CM.)

To the person who asked - Yes, we realize T-Rex is not on the DP but Cali Grill is 2 credits, so we will pay OOP.

Thanks.
