I rented from Doc a few years ago and had a great time at the Boardwalk and now would like to rent for a neighbor as she is not completely computer literate. So, is it too late to acquire points for a stay at the Boardwalk for the last week of June 04? I would need 2 studios for Sun-Thurs - 110 points I think. Can anyone help me with this? I am assuming the points are $10 but of course I'll go with the lowest bidder. Thanks all.

You need to post this over on the rent/trade board. This board is for DVC discussion only--not point rental requests.

As a side note, the 110 points that you listed for two studios is for a Standard view studio. The odds of getting a standard view studio at BWV at this short notice are slim and none. Standard view rooms are often booked up 7-8 months ahead of the travel dates, and members will go on a waiting list to take rooms in the event of a cancellation.

You have a better chance of getting a preferred view room, which would be 140 points for the dates / rooms you described.

But even getting a preferred view studio (actually TWO studios) may be a reach at this late date. I called in February and tried to book a BWV studio for May, and there was nothing available. Old Key West, the largest DVC resort, is often the last to fill up and may end up being the only option for booking 3 mos ahead of time.

Good luck.

Thanks. I did realize my mistake and quickly posted to the correct board. It's been a few years since we rented so I have forgotten the protocol - it may be just too late for my neighbor - oh well, I tried!

Now that I see this is very "late in the day" - 2 studios at any of the resorts would be fine - OKW or VWL or what have you.
