Not sure if budget is the best place for this, but we are planning to Uber our first day to a supermarket, then bring everything to our room for meals to save money. Anyone have an idea on the closest supermarket (with normal prices) near YC?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but it's either the Publix near Celebration or Winn Dixie on S Vineland. Both appear to be 6 miles away. I usually do the Winn Dixie being I'm in SSR and is closer but have shopped at both

It may be cheaper to have groceries delivered than to Uber two ways. There are a few services, plus Amazon delivers groceries. Also the Y&BC have a small market - primarily for DVC members who have a kitchen - but the market will have milk and bread.

Thanks but I heard that theres new rules about deliveries etc. PLUS we want fresh fruits and veggies so I'm no sure they will be fresh unless we get them ourselves

You might want the Whole Food then. We've found the quality of grocery store fruits and vegetables near Disney to be uneven. The Whole Foods is about eleven miles away towards Universal.

There's a WalMart on Apopka-Vineland and Osceola Parkway. There's also a Publix in the shopping plaza across the street if that's more your speed.

The frig is tiny. Careful what you buy

most towncar services also include a 30 min grocery stop. Fltours.com is my preferred car service.

what meals are you planning on preparing in your room?

We typically stay at one of the Epcot resorts and the car service stops at a Publix that is less than 10 minutes away. Not sure what the location is called though

Unless it has changed very recently, the restrictions about deliveries only apply to things that get delivered via traditional shipping services (IE FedEx, UPS, USPS). If you have things delivered via courier (Instacart, AmazonPrime, WeGoShop, GardenGrocer) there is no charge for bell services to receive the items. If they bring it to your room you would be charged a fee, so you can either meet the courier yourself, or carry the items from bell services to your room yourself.

For what it is worth, we have used GardenGrocer, WeGoShop, and AmazonPrime, and the veg/fruit was all fine.

We prefer this one,

Publix Super Market at Lakeside Village Center, 7880 Winter Garden Vineland Rd, Windermere, FL 34786

which is easy to get to with the new access road north of the Grand Floridian.

When I take a towncar from MCO to Boardwalk or Beach Club, the grocery store stop is:
Publix
Lake Cay Commons
9930 Universal Blvd
Orlando 32819
