Nearest store?

We are headed to DLR for the first with our kids. Where is the nearest store where we can pick up diapers/wipes/baby food for our 16 month old? I don't want to have to pack that stuff with us for our flight.

We found a Target sorta close by. It was fun and a quick, easy trip.

There's a Target just down Harbor (about a mile or two) and a Walmart a couple exits north on I-5. If you don't have a car, there's an area bus that would take you to the Target. There are also several convenience stores within walking distance of the parks, but I don't know how good their selection is as far as baby stuff.

Sorry to barge in on your thread but is the Target within walking distance? or should you cab? We are looking at the same situation.

When we went to DLR 3 years ago we stayed at the Best Western Raffles & Target was definitely walkable from there. If you aren't staying that far south, it may not be as walkable, but it would be a short cab ride.

If you've got a car, there are about a half dozen Wal-Marts and other discount stores within five miles. If not, I'd suggest using Google Maps from your hotel and finding out how close particular stores are.

Target, just down Harbor, across the street from Joe's Crab Shack and Red Robin

Target is a cab ride if you're staying North of Ketella Ave.

We took a cab to the Walmart off I-5 and spent $30 roundtrip inc tip.
