Nearest Most Convienent Airport

What is the nearest and most convient airport to fly into for visiting Disneyland? I'm thinking it's the John Wayne - Orange County airport, but I'm not sure.

You're right, John Wayne-Orange County (SNA) is the closest to Disneyland. Long Beach is the next closest, followed by Ontario, LAX and Burbank.

Long Beach is only 4 miles farther away than John Wayne and it is small so it's very easy to get in and out of. It's the only place we fly into and out of now!!

tlovesdis - I don't think I understand what you mean be Long Beach is easier to get in and out of because it's small. Can you tell I never fly in? I always drive? I'm actually doing this research for someone else. I think I can understand it in comparison to LAX, but isn't John Wayne airport small also?

Yes, John Wayne is small, but LB is even smaller. Only 4 or 5 airlines fly into it so it is not busy at all! We flew into JW in 2003 and the security line when we were going home was terrible! LB was just so easy. We got off the plane, picked up our luggage, and grabbed a taxi all within a few minutes it seemed.

I agree it is smaller, I used to work in a small airport. But can be more expensive at times.

True, but luckily for me Jet Blue flys there from Oakland and we've always got the $39 each way special!

Long Beach Airport is so easy. Walk out of your plane. A couple hundred yards to baggage claim. Out the door to your rental car or shuttle. It is the easiest airport I have ever encountered.

Thanks everyone! I ended up booking Delta to John Wayne. JetBlue to Long Beach was a bit cheaper but their only flight was departing at 6:30am which I knew I would be murdered for since they are traveling with a 2 year old and are NOT morning people!
