Nearest grocery store to Airport?

We will be landing about 3 hours before the couple we spending the weekend with. We would like to pick up our rental car and do some grocery shopping before they arrive to save time and get right to VWL.
Can anyone tell me where the closest grocery store (publix?) to the orlando airport would be. Don't want to drive to far and then have to go all the way back to MCO.

The Lake Fredrica Center store is on SR436 which is the North Exit out of the Airport. I work about 2 miles north of the airport and can tell you that these are the closest to the airport.

One time my DH asked the folks at Hertz about the closest grocery store. The Lake Frederica one sounds like the one to which he was directed. Big mistake as the traffic was horrible. Just a word of warning.

This one is close also. The address throws me off and I drive past it every day. It's at the intersection of S Chickasaw Trail and Lee Vista Blvd.

There is also a Walmart Supercenter at the intersection of Hoffner (SR15) and Goldenrod Road.

Question for those in the know: how much do you think it would cost to go by cab from MCO/Hyatt to the store? We arrive late Friday afternoon for Saturday cruise, then a week's stay at SSR-2 nts/5 nts Kidani. I could leave out lots from suitcases if I could buy there.

I go to the Publix on Somoran, especially when we rent a car from Thrifty, it's very close.

However, if it's during the winter/fall...when White's Red Hill Groves is opened, we always stop there for Florida citrus! During December, they've had these delicious red navel oranges. I can't wait until our December trip to get some this year! It's on Conway. We have found the Publix and the Groves very convenient to the airport.

I have found some of Publix's prices there to be better than the Publix closer to WDW.

I know this is an old forum but recently a new KMART has opened up which would be perfect for anyone in the same situation.

I have a holiday home in Oralando and now always shop here on my inbound journey to the villa.
