NCRedding starting fresh journal

Today is off to a good start. Woke up early, went for a two mile walk, and then pulled weeds for as long as I could stand it. 10 more nights until my trip!!

I do believe this is your wakeup call, Reds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think it's time for you to reevaluate yourself/refocus/redo/re-whatever because we miss you here at WISH!!!

Sounds like you're not doing so well with your plan, as in the eating lots of junk plan. There are steps you can take to keep that from happening.

 Chug your water
 Slice up fruits and veggies so that they are ready to go. I hate chopping so that makes the snack not worthwhile 'cuz you have to prepare it etc.

But your exercising is good, Reds, awesome if you want to be all technical. I'm so proud of you that I am running around my house in my PJs and scaring my cats. You can do this, you're gonna do this, you WILL do this and you know what-you're gonna succeed too! Just keep swimming, dahling! You're doing great with your exercising!!!!!!!!! :flower: :flower:

Keep up the good work! Today is a new day-what do ya wanna make of it?

"We're given second chances every day of our life. We don't usually take them, but they're there for the taking." Andrew M. Greeley

That's from Motivation Station! have fun...you're only 10 days away from FUN!

Keep up the great work! You are being so disciplined about your exercise. I bet you feel proud of yourself! :cool1:

Congratulations on having the dedication to do a 1/2 marathon! Your exercising looks wonderful and your food will follow. Great job on staying on track!

Awesome job on the exercise Reds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Keep up the awesome work!!! Aren't you only 5 days out from your trip?

Keep on truckin'!

Thanks TigerCheer, Keenercam and TPC Shauna for the words of encouragement. I walked again this morning for 1 mile. It has gotten so muggy here.

My trip is in 6 days--can't wait!!!! I plan on continuing to exercise on ship, and just try to eat sensibly, but not follow a program. I am focusing on getting into the exercise habit right now. I bought the book Marathoning for Mortals to read while on my 9 1/2 hour flight (ugh)

I haven't counted lately--how many days until the 1/2 marathon??

Keep up the good work. After reading through your journal you are doing a great job.

Have a great time on your vacation!

You're doing great! Keep up the exercise.

Have a wonderful time on the ship. Can't wait to hear the report after.

Hang in there!

Overslept so I didn't get to walk---BUSY!!! day at work trying to get everything done so I can RELAX on my trip.

Off to the nursing home to see my grandmother, then to the mall to walk--it is so humid and hot here!

Well, I didn't get to the mall in time--too much late night work. I will walk tomorrow!!

Up early. It felt so nice outside today after days of MUGGY temps.

I walked 2 miles. Now, off to work--only two more days in the office before my trip.

Walked 2.25 miles in 40 minutes this morning. Picked DD up at camp--I missed her so much!! Now, onto laundry figuring out how to pack lightly for a 15 night trip :confused3

Enjoyed the day with family and packing and general getting ready. No exercise though :guilty:

I am back from a wonderful trip to Hawaii. I did OK with exercise, but ate whatever I wanted--still only gained a little.

Today I start anew. I am back on Atkins and will exercise also.

I weighed and measured this morning.

I have stayed on-program thus far today.

I am having a hard time getting back to normal. Jet lag is bothering me far more than I expected. I seem to be mired in quicksand. I haven't exercised at all since returning. I need to figure out what I should do. My weight is reaching unhealthy proportions, I emptied my closet of the clothes I can't wear, so I have almost nothing in my closet. So many reasons to do it, but I just can't seem to make it through even one day without eating something I know I shouldn't.

I've found a new quote for myself: The single most important ingredient for longterm success is not just the determination to start, but (also) the ability to start AGAIN.

Great quote. Hope you are able to get back on track soon. Start training for your half. We can suceed and not get swept with determination and adequate training. I am also doing the half. Not quite sure what possessed my to sign up for it though.
